It doesn't say that Arby was offered his scholly, just a spot on the team. I'm willing to bet PM took his scholarship, but offered him a spot on the team if he paid his on way.
Honestly though, I feel with Arby playing center in super regionals, we wouldn't have given up as many runs to SB.

Wow I can't believe that CPM would say that he was offered to come back but in a diminished role. He should have kept that info between him and Fields. So much for professionalism.

The longer we keep Javi Sanchez the more and more critical I will be about this team. I was pretty critical this season already I felt.

To those who don't want Arby Fields back answer these questions. What outfielders do we have who have proven they are both good hitters and good defensively? Rhymes, Katz, Edward are nothing special defensively. Sciambre and the new guys are unproven offensively. It feels like an Arby's kind of year.

Arby shouldn't been given a chance his game is very limited, and it also looks like we have quite a few options for the OF so we shouldn't even waste a roster spot on him

SB didn't even have one, and I agree quit being over dramatic, our sub par hitting this season wasn't all on the hitting coach... Players have bad seasons whether it be bad offensively or defensively, or even with shite off the field... So when you say something like that you look like an absolute arse

Exactly.
We have 11.something scholarships and a 35 man roster limit? Sorry Arby, but you're no where near being worth wasting a roster spot and/or partial scholarship on.

Geez dude. Fields hit .203 with 0 homers and 4 SB. There is a reason a true freshman was playing ahead of him.

Now that is a load of cr..p!!!! Give me a break. Edwards couldn't get to out of bounds to catch pop ups-Katz can't cover the allys and made a fool of himself trying to make catches. Thanks god for the HR'S. All three starting against SB ran like they had rocks in their pants. Speed is the name of the game.
