I would like to hear what those of the opinion who think he would be a good HC here at LSU are basing that on? Is he known to be a great recruiter, a motivator, organizer, a CEO who takes charge, comfortable with a high profile, etc.?

A great tactician, great organizer, great coach, great at developing players and evaluating players. He’s shown he could put together one hell of a staff too

O won’t be fired while Aranda is still here

What makes you ask that question?

Because you used a laughing emoji when someone suggested that he would be a good HC here

No I did not. I used the laughing emoji when someone suggested that they'd rather have had Aranda than O as head coach.

Hopefully Orgeron leads us to championships and we don’t have to worry about coordinators leaving. It’d be awesome if time proves that to be the case.

At least Aranda has expertise on one side of the ball and an actual ability to scheme.

I guess we won't know until he gets a shot.

He seems to motivate his players just fine. Chip Kelly wasn't some rah-rah guy and is pretty reserved and he did ok at Oregon.

You don't think Aranda could become as good a coach as the one we have?

How in the hell does my OP insinuate whatsoever that I dislike O? Can you read?

O pumpers are an insecure bunch and can’t stand for any other coaches or assistant coaches to receive praise.

I see that. They'll even bash Aranda, who's as mild-mannered as they come. They'll bash anyone to protect their guy.

I never said that either. You continue to assume how I feel or think about things.

Not all great coordinators make great head coaches. But I think Aranda will. He's got just the right amount of that borderline autistic-level of focus and attention to detail that a head coach needs. He's also a good recruiter and generally likeable guy. And of course he's an outstanding defensive coach.

Does anybody really know if Dave Aranda wants to be a HC?

I thought it was common knowledge that Aranda wants to be a HC.

Aranda says he is happy being a part of Coach O's staff, he loves it at #LSU he's treated with respect and it feels like home. He would like to be a head coach, but at the right time.

So what's the laughter about? I don't get it.

Aranda would be a fine head coach at LSU, don't you agree?

Who has bashed Aranda in this thread?

Why would you laugh at the notion of hiring Aranda in 2016 instead of O if you think Aranda would make a good head coach?
