The only motivation for speaking out is we don’t want this to cost LSU a national title, when LSU is in such great position to win one. Stop imagining any other motives.

You could add Todd Harris and Eric Monroe. Both 4*s.

Too bad Aranda doesn't have great players to work with:

Tyler Shelvin - 4 Stars
Rashard Lawrence - 4 stars
Stars Glen Logan - 4 Stars
K'Lavon Chaisson - 5 Stars
Patrick Queen - 4 Stars
Michael Divinity - 4 Stars
Jacob Phillips - 4 Stars
Kristian Fulton - 5 Stars
Derek Stingley - 5 Stars
Grant Delpit- 4 Stars
Jacoby Stevens - 5 Stars

From start to finish vs Fla and Texas, LSU defense couldn't stop opponents' drives. So it wasn't the pace of LSU's offense, the fault is on Aranda's defense.

Aranda has been trying to get our guys to run a zone well, knowing he will need it in 4 weeks vs Alabama.

Maybe, maybe not. If LSU's DB's could have covered in a tight man and covered the receivers for 2.5 seconds LSU's pass rush would have had several sacks. There were many plays where an LSU pass rusher was within arms length of Trask when he threw the ball. LSU pass rush is just too good to sit back in a zone and let the QB throw to open receivers.

LSU pressing man and blitzing let the chips fall where they may. But this zone sucks

Those stars mean nothing when they don’t produce results. You’re talking about high school grades which are the weakest of all talent grades. Justin Jefferson is a 2* yet he’s without question a better more talented football player than all but maybe 1 or 2 of the players you listed.

Defense will get a pass from fans until they cost us the game then everybody will agree with you. Those FL 3rd and long conversions in the 2nd half were the the most frustrated I’ve been with this defense all year.

Ok. Post HS, Delpit is projected to be a 1st rd pick. Fulton not far behind. All four LBs were on the Butkus watch. and I would be surprised if at least 3 of our DL don't make NFL rosters.

How much talent does it take?

Mullen should be explaining to his folks about how LSU had NFL talent all over the field, tough environment to play in for a QB without much experience, and they give you a lot of different looks. Hey, we fought hard but not many teams are gonna move the ball on them, etc.

Our D just gave their O a big, boost confidence.

When will the excuses stop? Get it done on Saturdays or get out.

Because of our inept D, out offense has to play almost perfect.

So having Delpit and Fulton means the Dline can put pressure and the LBs can cover? Pre season Butkus watch lists mean nothing because not a 1 of these LBs will even be All-SEC honorable mention. These same players are operating in a system that has produced All-Americans every season under Aranda but now all of the sudden nobody is producing and it’s the coaches fault? Who wins 1 on 1s up front? Who is getting pressure on the QB with 4 man rushes? Which LB is good in coverage or is making 10-15 tackles per game? Wake up don’t drink a 5th by 3pm and watch the games it’s as plain as day what’s happening out there.

Well, I'll just turn your argument on its head - all these players are proven talents at this level. Did they all just collectively forget how to play the game?

Lack of talent nor experience explain what we're seeing.

eh... to be very concise (which I usually am not)...

Our problem, currently, are the LBs. They simply aren't playing well and it is affecting most everybody on the D.

How much football have you coached at the collegiate level? Heck, with your drivel, how much little league football have you coached?

You’re wrong and I’ll explain why. Because I said so and don’t try to explain why, idiot.

What will satisfy most Tiger fans is seeing the defense stopping teams on 3rd and 10, 3rd and 12, 3rd and 19. That’s frustrating as hell!

Turn my argument on its head lol? This is where you’re delusional, none of these players in the front 7 have produced at this level except Phillips when he had White to cover his arse and he’s so bad in coverage that he can’t hold on to his position anymore. I can post their career stats if you’d like? Again high school stars don’t prove a thing in the SEC.

As long as we're winning championships I don't care how or what they look like.

3-2 counts as much as 81-80 as does 55-0.

Realistically, we would have a better chance of winning championships if our D played as well as our O.

That's all I'm saying.

Both inbound ratings and outbound drafts tell the same story, talent's not the problem.

And everyone is proven at this level.

You know as well as the rest of us there's a problem on D. You blame the players. I blame Aranda.
