I believe we should improve our defensive line coach. We have a talented d-line this year but have underperformed. Linebacker and defensive backfield coaching and development seems very good. Defensive line, we'll see, the jury is still out.

Lol I never said anything about subs during a game I said the Head Coach decides who starts and who plays

So they HC decides who plays, just not during a game?

Makes sense lmao

Alabama has struggled vs teams who can mix in a good zone coverage.

Aranda has been trying to get our guys to run a zone well, knowing he will need it in 4 weeks vs Alabama.

nah

That's not what we are seeing. The defense is getting no pass rush. We need to get a healthy Logan and Lawrence.

Here’s the deal. Our D has not really been in real trouble all season. Until they are, we won’t really know how good they are.

What the hell are you talking about?

The D looks very average. Stingley is the only superstar.
We need another White and a Dorsey

Lmfao you don’t know anything about football or sports in general. Tell us again how DJ Chark is a bum and will never play on Sunday. Tell us again how Tremont Waters is a loser and LSU will never be a winning team while he’s starting for them. You’re a joke.

This here post will be enshrined on TD.

Lol just shows you get 100% of your football knowledge from Rant narratives and none from reality. To believe that coordinators have the final say on who starts and who plays over the head coach is right up there with the greatest whoppers this site has ever produced. What’s funny is this fairy tale is contradicted anytime the spin on the story is positive. For example it was Orgeron who decided to start Danny Etling when Canada wanted Brennan, it was Ed Orgeron who went out and got Joe Burrow to start over the QBs we had. But how can that be the head coach has no say so in who starts or who plays... lmfao you people are clowns and deserving of the things others say about you.

Well, if it’s Coach O who is holding Aranda back, then fire his arse! Make Aranda the head coach. That’s what most on here wanted earlier bet they don’t now!

I'm not so sure he didn't do that Sat night if you listen to the half time report and the post game interview.

at one point in the first half it looked like Orgeron went over to Aranda and was getting on him right after a 3rd and long play when we rushed 3, didn't get close to Trask and got burned for another 3rd down conversion.

So tell me, what did UF do Saturday night that teams haven't been doing for years. Ans: nothing.

I can tell you what beats a great defense every time no matter what offense you run and that an accurate and efficient QB. Nobody wants to give credit to Trask but the fact of the matter is he was very good. You can’t defend those 3 maybe 4 back shoulder throws in a row on Stingley on that TD drive to start the second half. That was NFL esque throws. Mullen is a great offensive mind. He picked up on everything LSU wasn’t doing on D and exploited it. But the one common denominator in that was Trask was on point with his throws

There were a ton of perfect throws and great catches on 3rd downs for UF...not saying they were completely lucky...but a bit fortunate. If a few of those many 3rd downs go a little different...the game is a real blowout.

Do you even understand what’s happening out there? How do you evaluate guys that are obviously injured? If they’re supposed to be ready you want to see how they’ll play but it didn’t take long to before they were limping around again. So while some of the reserves had to play more you can’t just scrap the gameplan and rotation, you can’t play a game with 3 guys. You don’t start firing people when they’re dealing with this and ranked #2 in the country. Your entire mindset is ridiculous, the defense is giving up 18.8ppg and you’re looking to fire people? That’s insane, the D has some issues but we’re pretty banged up and it’s not because of the gameplan. We gave up chunk plays because of missed tackles and blown assignments not because Mullen saw holes in the scheme and was dialing up wide open players. Did you watch the game?

It’s the 3rd and longs, Boxcar, and Orgeron is getting frustrated about it

Twice we got off the field on 3rd and long but the refs made terrible calls and kept their drives alive. And the chunk plays, Perine’s run was because of a missed tackle while other players quit on the play and were standing around watching. You had an obvious pushoff by Pitts that wasn’t called on another long play. We had multiple blown coverage by linebackers on the TD vs Fulton and multiple throws up the middle. This isn’t a schematic issue, I don’t love rushing 3 either but he does it because we don’t have a legit pass rusher with the 4 man rush.

Coach O probably gets together with Aranda to discuss who starts on D but substitutions during the game have to be made by Aranda. No way Orgeron is standing there micro managing that when he has a 2.5 mill DC. But what does that matter any way? It s not like we have some superstar waiting on the bench who is not getting PT or that we have a Welter starting over a Beckwith.

100% correct I never said otherwise. As far as guys on the bench producing more than starters, Farrell is by far our most productive 4/5 tech and he’s not a starter. That’s a change which needs to be made, you also have Justin Thomas who needs more playing time at end on distance downs. The point is we aren’t great up front so we need the front to be specifically tailored to every situation so we can maximize the production we can put on the field right now.
