You are correct but Penn State didn’t play a team of Georgia caliber in title game. Still a worry, but would be unprecedented with multiple top 10 wins and give no room for improvement over the year. But need to look good at ark and at 8&4, which can easily be trap games

Nah…OreGoN n n SoUthRn cALi wUn LoSs cAnt b LeFt oUt.

In all seriousness, LSU actually happens to win out, they are obviously in. They’ll be 6th in the CFP Poll this coming week, it’ll be ludicrous to assume they won’t rise and be left out after knocking off the undisputed number one team a few days before the damn. Hate ND but glad that they got rid of Clemson.

Oregon and USC are struggling against sub-500 PAC teams. Cal is 3-7 and scored 30+ and loss by a TD to USC. Oregon lost by 46 to Georgia, they’re a joke. It would be Oklahoma in any major bowl game all over again to include Oregon. Georgia fans are hammering in that they’ve improved and deserve the ranking for their resume but we know Oregon is 7-5 in the SEC West.

If LSU were to somehow win out, it would likely be the following

Ohio State/Michigan winner
LSU
Georgia
TCU/Tennessee/Ohio State Michigan loser

PAC

We probably need some help. Undefeated TCU, a 1 loss Pac 12 Champ, a 1 loss Michigan/Ohio State, and a 1 loss Tennessee team that beat us at home will all be tough to jump. I'm sure we can jump a couple of them but probably need Ohio State/Michigan game to be a blowout or have TCU or the Pac 12 champ lose a game which is likely. I'm not sure what they'll do if it comes down to us or Tennessee. I think Georgia is in regardless

Just like we did in 2007...with a few conference games still looking it's almost inevitable that we will get the help. But we have to run the table for any of it to matter

LSU is literally going to be ahead of both USC and Oregon , already this week…you all are reaching for any straws to keep a two loss team with 3 top ten wins, including a top win over the number one team, out the playoffs. That all within a 6 week span. LSU would be 11-2, three impressive top ten wins.

They’d easily go over fricking USC (who lost to UTAH, who lost to fricking Florida that LSU beat), Oregon (who lost by 46 to the VERY GEORGIA TEAM LSU WOULD THEORETICALLY BEAT). Tennessee lost by a large margin to Georgia, albeit they beat LSU, LSU beat Georgia and WON the CONFERENCE. Root for Michigan as well, but they have a VERY weak out of conference schedule, which has been widely discussed and they have also a major habit of playing down to the competition early on. Ohio State, see Michigan. They’re both elite but should either lose, they’re out due to the lack of quality wins. TCU needs to win out, otherwise they’re out. The BIG 12 is an absolute mess and everyone just beats the other. The wins and upcoming possible wins are looking less and less impressive with Baylor, Oklahoma, unranked, K State and Texas with 3 losses.

So to sum it all up, yes, LSU just needs to win out, which would be a difficult task, and I wouldn’t overlook Arkansas this week, before the Georgia game.

If we are SEC Champions having beaten Ole Miss, Alabama AND Georgia there’s no way we don’t make it.

All lies but continue on.

2 most improved teams from week 1 til now are LSU and Oregon but you'd ACTUALLY have to watch them play to know because clearly you do not.

I hope you're right but I won't be surprised if they still have us behind one or both of the pac 12 teams on Tuesday. None of those losses you mentioned are any worse than our loss to FSU. We're relying on the argument that we've improved since then, and the same can be said about Utah and Oregon. And you know they want the west coast involved if they can. Also the fact that the Tennessee loss was at home I think gives them a case

West Coast’s involvement isn’t for this season, it’s for the expanded playoff. Although I peg USC to be in the playoff next season. These teams can’t have a loss in such a weak conference. SEC and Big 10 justifiably have their presence annually in the playoff, it’s the PAC that’s justifiably left out. The expanded playoff will help with that.

Oregons loss to Georgia was worse than LSU’s, much worse. They lost by 46 and looked absolutely terrible. LSU got blown out by it was far from THAT. Florida State is also ranked again in the AP top 25. LSU’s improvements are legitimate, as they’ve beaten Ole Miss and Alabama in consecutive weeks. Oregon has beaten UCLA, but who else? Stanford, Washington State, Arizona, etc. We cannot truly say they have improved, rather Georgia just exposed them. USC barely beat 3-7 Cal, yesterday. These teams do not belong in the conversation and an 11-2 LSU squad isn’t going to be snubbed for them, that’s laughable. There is no true argument.

Two loss LSU vs one loss UGA, Tennessee and Michigan. I just don't see it.

When Georgia went to the playoffs in 2017, Auburn had 2 losses and were ranked number 1 in the CFP going into the SECCG, and would've went to the playoffs if they had won.

Just checked, they were number 2, not number 1. Still, the CFP committee wants the best teams, and LSU if they win out and win the SECCG, would have 3 top 10 wins.

LSU can certainly win the remaining regular season games. The SECCG is a different animal.

Calm yourself and do not question what I know and do not know. Oregon plays in a subpar conference and gave up 41 to Washington State, or are those all lies as well? Beating 1-8 Colorado, Stanford, Arizona definitely show immense improvement after a complete smacking from Georgia.

Thank you for the solid logic there. If LSU is ranked sixth or seventh in the polls, and keeps winning, they’ll likely be 5 by Georgia. Beat Georgia, who is 1, you are not missing any playoff.
