I wouldn't talk any shite considering we have played equal teams and they beat us 2/3

you completely misunderstood the point.
I'm not saying LSU is better than App State at all. I think we will prove to be a better team by season's end, but that's questionable based on the recent failures of Mainieri's teams to either host a regional or even make the tourney. What I am saying is that just because App State has a record of 11-2 (as the person who started this thread stated), doesn't mean they are any good. Look at the teams they have played. Not exactly powerhouses in college baseball at any point in history. done.

Agreed. Just making sure you aren't just one of those "We are LSU...we are the best every year..we should have swept" type of people 
Neither team has shown anything up to this point and won't until this week. App st gets a midweek game against South Carolina and next weekend a good matchup with Elon who's got the 9th best RPI in the country.
LSU gets a pretty good Miss St team with one of the best team ERA's not only in the SEC but the entire NCAA.
Just think it's funny when everyone was running around like chicken little when they beat us. Great pitching beats good hitting 9/10 times. They've got great pitching

The fact that half LSU's team had the flu probably ought to be included in the analysis of that series.
We've looked pretty good the rest of the year other than that weekend. And yeah, Appy State is pretty solid and looks like a contender for their league this year.

If we do well in the SEC then RPI will not be a problem. I was more so letting people know that the team that beat us is not a scrub.
We should NEVER lose 2/3 to app st. Hopefully it was just a bad w/e. We won't know until we start playing in conference though.

I think the loss was good for the team. You need that good arse kicking and get a reality check. I'd rather have it happen now than later.
