Y'all may not realize just how "damaged" Will is outside of our fandom.

Bruce Pearl just took Auburn to the Final 4 in his first job back from a 5-year show cause.

Was thinking same thing...may be a few years....and of course he would have to continue winning.....before any credible program comes calling.

I wonder what the conversations were between the LSU admins and Wade over the last month.

I don't believe they have had zero contact. Calls, texts, emails, something was said. I wonder if each side was explaining their reasoning or anything like that.

Based on Joe’s petty, passive aggressive comments at the time of the suspension, after the Yale win and in announcing the reinstatement I get the impression the relationship is pretty adversarial.

I doubt Joe made the decision to reinstate.

nope, first off, we're a football school, second, this little black cloud will probably keep him here longer than he may have without it, has to show he can keep his nose clean(or at least cover his tracks better,) and get a little distance from this before someone will scoop him up

The next AD after Alleva will be crucial to how long Wade stays. Alleva is basically almost gone at the point thank God

He's not going anywhere anytime soon because he's still damaged goods to a certain degree. He may have been brought back, but if anything else comes out in testimony or any story breaks of a hint of cheating, he's going to be fired immediately.

I think LSU brought him back because at this point nothing concrete has come out to prove cheating, but he's on thin ice until this thing blows over. There is no doubt that LSU knows he cheated, but it just can't be proven at this point.

Not to mention, he's only had one great season at LSU and that doesn't prove he's this program saver that some LSU fans have made him out to be. I'm happy he's back, but he still needs to prove to me that he can coach and win year in and year out!

I think FKA and Alleva drag their feet on all of the stuff they may have promised WW in the past like facility upgrades, practice gym maintenance, recruiting budget, etc... Basically forcing WW to look elsewhere in a couple of years.

My fantasy is that this is what they’ve been doing and Wade was playing 4-D chess by holding out, getting the movement to oust them started.

He needs to clear his name and prove himself to everyone who doesn’t bleed purple and gold before he even thinks of moving on

WW makes 3 million plus counting tv/radio and incentives. Why would he leave LSU in 2 years for somewhere else? And yes, he is tainted as of now. This can actually be a blessing if we get a competent AD.

Duke is NOT going to hire him. No blue blood will want him. Lateral moves like Tennessee (when Barnes retires), Texas (if Smart cannot get to NCAAs deeply), or Oregon would not pay him much more...those are just 3 examples of a conference, regional, and west coast similar universities where football is majorly king.

I think WW and LSU will be married a while. The only place I could halfway see him bolting to would be in about 10 years when Cal retires at UK.

Clemson gig may sound good because of it being his school, but they will never be Duke or UNC. Never.

Why would he want to leave, just because his immediate supervisor is a douche that overreacts and panic's to media pressure?

I just had a lovely, daydreamy thought (and don’t attack me for having a lovely, daydreamy thought).

What if Will said he’d only come back if Alleva was fired?
My information from private sources says that Alleva is gone and will be replaced by Verge Ausbery. Dunno when that will take place.

It might explain that mean and childish attack on CWW in Alleva’s press release?

I agree. With this administration he leaves the first chance he gets.

Here’s the thing. We probably bought ourselfs at least another 2 years with him. That gives us 2 years to at least remove Alleva. I don’t think F. King will be here for an insanely long time either. Alleva will be gone within 2 years for sure, and Alexander probably won’t be far behind. I wouldn’t be too worried about it right now, he does love it here.

I agree,

It's one of the 1 million reasons not to publicly call out your coach asking him to be honest...or regretting that your coach didn't fulfill his obligations earlier.

LSU's best chance with Wade is to throw Alleva out and hope the next guy in builds a great relationship with Wade.
