I would say he will be able to play back up QB by the 8th game.

Good lord, this is 2021 not 1911. I continuously push and am continuously right about the fact that science and medicine have come a long damn way.
Technology, and medicine because of it, is evolving at an exponential rate. I say this as a STEM nerd, and I also speak from personal experience, modern medicine is a miracle maker.
On top of all of that, his dad said he slept it off as a bruise. I fractured my elbow in three places, and did the same thing. Doctors misdiagnosed it for two weeks because of the lack of swelling and it did not prevent me from playing sports again.
It’s his left hand.
Lastly, stop stressing and acting like A&M fans. How many of you would have bet money on BDE Burrow in 2018? LSU will be fine. Have faith. Believe

Reports saying 12 weeks. It obviously depends on a number of things like how he progresses, whether or not he can stay in "football shape" during rehab, and where the team is when he gets back. If that timeline is accurate and he doesn't have any setbacks, that would put him back for the October 30th bye week before the Bama game. Even if he is healthy, I doubt they throw him into that game right out of the gate unless they are desperate, but he could be back on the sidelines as a back up.
Odds are (if we are lucky), Max plays great, stays healthy and finishes the full season and Myles can take the year off to heal. But if Max is hurt and Nuss struggles, I could absolutely see a scenario where Myles is back under center for the Arkansas game on November 13th, especially if they are still playing for something.
