We will all know quickly if LSU will make a run to get to the NCAAs. We play at Auburn Tuesday and our effort there will indicate if we are up or a run. AU beat us twice last season and played with top effort against us.

Yes I do. It starts Tuesday, gotta play like our hair is on fire and we have not always done that in games like this in recent years.

If we can, it's a good start and there are still games left against A&M and USC that are winnable for us and that will help boost our RPI, BPI etc.

As an 11 seed .....no. They'll play a much better coached well rounded team in first round and get beat.

Sorry but the coaching is WAYYYYY too dumb for this team to even get past the second round. That's if we don't screw it up the rest of the season and blow a tournament bid.

I don't get these statements after they lost last night. LSU will or will not make the tourney based in the game last night. It could have given them a boost with a win but they lost and now they have to move on because the sec record didn't change and you are only a game out with a&m coming to play you again. Beat the people you need to beat and then split the 50/50 games and they are in. I just really hope the players aren't a bunch of whiny and pouty little punks like some of you fans are.

I do agree that the intensity against auburn will tell us a lot about what this team is made of internally. Not skills or iq but their hearts. That is just as important as the talent in those types of games.

Doesnt look good imo. This team shows flashes of being really good, but they have no consistency. Couple that with poor coaching and lack of halfcourt offense means we will likely drop another game or two that we shouldnt, probably to Bama or Tenn, which will kill our RPI and force us to win the SEC tourney to get in.

Of course they could. They have the talent to do so.

I think LSU will make the NCAA Tournament and win their first game. But I think that's about it.

In one sense you are correct to say that the game yesterday did not directly affect a tournament bid, but unfortunately letting that opportunity slip away could come back to bite them because of the losses to average teams like Marquette, NC State, Wake Forest (really hurt) and Houston.

Not without defense, discipline and offensive patience. Also appropriate timeout/clock management on behalf of CJJ.

I had no issue with his use of timeouts last night.

However, I do defense will be one of the key factors to look for Tuesday to see how well team and staff come together for a game I really don't think we can afford to lose.

I think if we come out of the gate playing intense on D and boarding it feeds our transition game which is really what this team does the best.

If not we keep an inferior team in the game, the crowd gets behind them and it snowballs.

Something just wrong this year. This team has the potential for greatness but too often plays without cohesion or purpose. This next week (at Auburn, at USCe, Miss. St.) will let us know if there's a postseason in store.
