How can you say that? He's the least talented starting QB in the SEC.

No. He's not. Stidham and Franks say hi.

If you think Etling is a more talented qb than both of those guys then you are mentally handicapped.

Someone still has to get open and catch the ball. I did not see much of that Saturday night.

Etling is throwing much better this season and all he has to do is manage the game and not turn the ball over-which he has. The game Saturday will turn out to be a statistical anomaly!! Brennan needs to be brought along carefully!

These guys just made their first starts in the SEC and you already got this figured out?

Franks had zero protection vs Michigan, vs Tennessee it was a little better and he did well imo considering it was his first home game starting. Had a few drops, one a td and the int was off the hands of the receiver. Dude has a cannon of an arm.

This has been said over and over again, but Canada and Etling have made the O-line look much worse than it is. Throwing 7 step drop Hail Marys on obvious passing downs, will make any O-line look bad. Once again, spread the field and throw quick passes out of the shotgun. This will slow down the pass rush and open the running game. Brennan would not get touched, if our coaches were intelligent enough to adapt and stop exposing our weaknesses (o-line/ QB). Etling is not accurate enough for that style of offense, so give Brennan a shot. Can not be worse than 7 points scored and a 30 point beat down by State. If Brennan is not better than a guy who couldn't cut it at Purdue, then on to the next. Experimentation needs to happen now, rather than wasting any more years. The best Etling will offer is 6-6 and I believe we could do the same without a QB.

Brennan has a quicker release and way stronger arm. Spread the offense out and run quick timing routes so Brennan isnt sitting back there. Etling was a 3rd string Purdue reject.. we have a gunslinger sitting on the sidelines that everyone and their dog knows is better than Etling. Im tired of this inept passing game with Etling. frick that noise.

Exactly. His quick release and strong arm can be a work around for the poor OL play. Etling seems like he can't hit a guy in stride over the middle so he can pick up YAC.

People here are so afraid to see a freshman start yet there are many that are successful all over CFB for several years. Let that guy play in shotgun with a 4 WR set and just sling the ball. He has two games to prepare for UF, but this is LSU so they are going to keep running their damn head into a fence post.

Why? Can Brennan block for himself, while throwing the ball and then catch it for the touchdown? Dumb!
