Anyone think Mainieri can win another NC at LSU?

I just don’t see it, and national titles are the only measurable for this program. If he can’t do it again, it’s time to look for someone who can and will.

Very doubtful he gets back to Omaha. His attitude seems to be take it or leave it regarding his results of his teams.

Not a chance. His 1,415 wins have been complete luck. His five CWS appearances in the last 10 years were a fluke. His one National Championship was a mistake the NCAA should look into. Most importantly, his CWS runner-up finish in 2017 is meaningless....after all, it happened almost 2 whole years ago.
This guy will not win anything. He is worthless and should be fired immediately. If Scott Woodward doesn't step up and do the right thing we should run both of them out of town.

We're on the same page. We both think PM is worthless and doesn't know a thing about baseball. We also agree Woodward is derelict in his duties if he doesn't fire him.
And by God, if Woodward doesn't have the stones to fire him we need to get another AD. Right?

I hope he does though, just doesn't look promising right now. We have to have better pitching and have to find a way for our pitchers to be healthy. I know some of it is out of our control.

I feel like he is a routine contender for Omaha, but if he wins a title, it’s more a function of playing the odds from frequent Omaha visits.
I don’t see him winning a title by out coaching the opponent.

I think he can. It’s just very hard to win the whole thing now a days and I think a lot of people forget this. Remember, the mighty Kevin O’Sullivan and Tim Corbin have each only won 1 national championship. Same as our coach. Under tRants standards, Sully and Corbin should have been fired a long time ago. Same if not better talent than LSU and Vandy and UF have only been able to win 1 national title
