Seems like it could be a good fit, concentrate on OL schemes/reads, alum, experience in SEC (Bama and GA), keep OLineman in the state... just a thought with more modern/contemporary potential. Steve E can take the TE and we could let Cregg go back to NFL....don’t get the sense he is teaching our guys much, used to having well trained and money motivated OLineman in pros

Surely Napier is the real OC there right?

Correct. Billy is calling the plays.

That being said, I’d love to have Sale on staff. Relentless recruiter and a very, very good OL coach. Players love him and he works his arse off.

Also, something to be said for someone who has played and coached for national championship teams.......he knows what it takes.

Sure Napier is calling the plays, but I bet Ro is doing all the work, with that players, all week. Briles and Petrino didn’t call the plays when they were that young either.

.

Cregg is far from fine, this line is completely lost at times and cannot seem to know who to block. Add to that the terrible technique and there you have it.

I gave him credit, initially, earlier this year with all the shuffling.

But, with last night being about the first time all the guys we thought should be playing were playing it looked pretty bad.

So, I'm actually ready for "one of everything" on the offensive side, with perhaps Sully and Ens going the consultant route for continuity. But that's it.

frick no. He would not be a good OC at a school like LSU. He’d be a great offensive line coach though. When the time comes to get a new OC, we have to go out and try and get the most qualified and best OC out there. There’s no more time to screw around with an OC hire. It has to be one of the best in the country who will change the offense otherwise LSU will become just like USC, Miami, Texas, Tennessee, and Florida

You're right - I have no idea why I thought this was his second year. Brain cramp.
