Matulis is better than Cain, and Cain is still nursing an injury so the more rest the better.

I figured he'd throw Cain because he's the much more experienced of the two...and he's definitely no slouch.

right now it's looking like McNeese is the second best in-state team this year as Tulane, UNO, and ULL have all struggled. ULM might be pretty good this year, but I haven't followed them so far. Southern is going to have a pretty good year. La Tech just got swept by McNeese. Centenary is awful, despite beating A&M. Grambling is Grambling. Southeastern and Northwestern will both probably be solid, but not spectacular.

yeah they lost 7 starters..guys like Baxter, Giovatella, Vander Hey, etc.

they have about 3 bats that LSU has to worry about

3B Schwaner is legit.

OF Eden is alright

Harris has power

their pitching is horrible. We should put up double digits if we hit like we have been,

that remains to be seen, but hopefully the weight loss will help him out.

Remains to be seen? He was one of our best relievers last year.

they had a slow pitch softball team last year. all those guys could rake, but they were a team full of DHs, not much on the defensive side.

yeah, PM said Cain has looked great in the offseason

But his fastball always seemed flat to me.

UNO could really hit last year. Looked at them this year and they are way down so far.
