No

We played a top 5 (at the time) Clemson team on the road to start the year. LSU hadn’t won an opener since 2019.

We were not holding back week 1.

Sloan is who he is. Expect more of the same with perhaps slight improvement with a fully healthy Nuss.

If he was holding back the offense against Clemson in the biggest opening game of the season against a ranked opponent on the road when we hadn’t won an opening game in five years, he’s a complete fricking idiot.
Where is your brain?

We KNOW the coaches did not trust our offensive line against what was believe to be one of the best defensive lines LSU would face.

We KNOW the coaches were using the quick passing game to get the ball out of Nuss's hand before the rush could get to him.

We KNOW the coaches correctly believed that a deep passing game was not necessary or advisable to beat Clemson.

The coaches were right. It worked. LSU beat Clemson while holding back the offense on explosive plays. Hell, this is what we wanted. LSU came back with a victory by holding back the offense and taking what the Clemson defense was giving.

THIS

Nobody is saying "muh secret playbook". We are just repeating what Kelly has voiced several times. The plays called in certain games are keeping in mind the Nuss torso injury and how well the defense is playing along with knowing you have an inexperienced OL.
