I officially retired my ugly-arse knit hat. It had served me well in the past, but alas I have moved on.
Anyone give up on, or destroy, a 'lucky' LSU item?

Almost ripped my game day shirt off but decided to hang on to it. The game days boxers are destroyed though.

I thought about that in the 4th 1/4, but decided that I couldn't give up on it just yet. The shovel 'pass' caused early 2000s type doubt though.

I have a cursed LSU t-shirt - a gold Toonces emblem in front. Made the mistake of wearing it on Monday. So now I may burn it or at least give it to Goodwill, where the curse might then be lifted.

My "lucky" shite, which enabled us to win all other games this season, is now officially retired forever. I've had it since I was a Freshman 3 years ago.

No, I have had my lucky hat since the Sugar bowl 2001 and I won't give it up. I have worn it through many victories, two BCS titles, and a couple tough losses. You can't win them all, but my rally hat wins more than it loses.

I'm glad someone brought this up. Being part Irish and Cajun, I'm naturally superstitious - I pulled out all the stops on this fiasco:
My 6 foot stuffed tiger didn't work,
The death rag (a bandana with skulls all over it) didn't work,
Leaving the room didn't work,
The shot of Jamison (we didn't have enough possession time for that anyway),
My collection of voo doo dolls, totally ineffective
What am I supposed to do???
My LSU earrings, face paint, nothing worked

A friend of mine said when ever he watches an LSU game they lose. He hadn't watched a game all year until the BCS game. I have asked him to please stop watching LSU football.
