really like the use of both QBs like we did in the bowl game, maybe not every series

Name the last true dual qb system that's won a major conf and/or national title. The closest thing we had was 06 florida but that wasn't a dual qb system. Tebow didn't get any where near 50% of the snaps

LSU '11, about 175 snaps and 100ypg Total O for each, iirc.
LSU '07..... or not enough snaps (@125) for RP to be true dual for you?

I would love to think outside the box with both on the field at the same time. Split Daniels to receive a lateral to pass, or run in basically open field opportunities. He always makes the first man miss.

Nuss and a RB can run a normal offense.

If Daniels turn out to be a serviceable receiver, throw to him. It worked for Russell Shepherd in the pros.

Back in the day…. When Bert Jones was a qb at LSU …. Don’t think he ever played a complete game until he went pro. Ole Charlie Mac was a big believer in yanking a qb during the game.

It wasn’t “yanking” for poor performance, as it was having been burned by staring QBs getting hurt with season ending injuries. Pat Screen and Nelson Shockley come to mind.

I guess we all see what we want or maybe a different play.

It was a different play later in the game. I agree that the one you are referring to was as more on Thomas for letting the defender get him off the direct route to the spot.

The one I’m talking about was later in the game on the opposite side of the field. Thomas had to stop and wait for the ball and play defense. It was late and not thrown hard enough.

I don’t think that either 2007 or 2011 were true examples of a two quarterback system. there were other factors in play which led to two LSU quarterbacks getting more than normal action.

I guess it's a personal categorization as to how much playing time and how they get that PT.
For me it's if QB1/QB2 are a part of the offense under center throughout most games of the season and not just a last resort QB due to injury, etc.
Like RP scored 8 pass/2 rush TDs throughout '07, and about same for JJ 2011 with both being vital part of successful season.
I consider Saints a 2 QB system even though one QB gets more snaps than other, as Hill is part of the QB system used through the season, not bench warmer.

I think we should have a QB1, but I think both guys have earned guaranteed reps provided it makes sense in the context of the game.
