It's just talking. So they got burned on some plays.... they keep talking to let the opposing offense know that, "ok you got me on that. Try it again." Something along those lines.
The way you're carrying on about it makes it sound like our defense went out there and committed some crime or something.

OLB and TE... talked shite on both sides.
Except that one time when I was in a private school. The DE line up on me kept twitching. Every frickin play! Turns out he had Tourettes. So I was glad I didn't talk shite.

Not really crazy about it. Just imagine how bad arse our guys would look If they dominated everybody and went about it like "hey it's just what we do. We've been here before"

My take on the whole thing:
Trash talking is just "part of the game" right? Everybody does it? It gets in the heads of the opponents?
If LSU is #1 and so good then why do they need all the superfluous intangibles to win football games? The fact is that they don't.
Why be like "all the other teams" when you can kick their arse up and down the field without saying a word?
It's kind of like the tinted visors that don't let you see the players eyes (before they got banned). What you can't see (hear, in this case) is more intimidating than the trash talking.
Do you want to be like "everybody else?" Are the psyches of the LSU players so fragile that their play on the field will be crippled if they don't trash talk back?
Bottom line: LSU is better than "everybody else." They don't need trash talking to win.

I played strong safety. I remember this one particular trash talking better then all the others. We were playing Capitol High and they kept on trying to burn me on double moves. I didnt bite once. I told the reciever he should be embarrased because he couldnt burn a white kid. He laughed and so did the ref. CSB

Because were 4-0 and have beaten 3 ranked teams. The most recent was a 26pt victory on the road. They cant complain about the performance, so they've got to find something to btich about.
