I'm curious...were you upset when Mett became a Tiger?

My advice "Son...when you run your mouth and get in a bar fight you gotta keep your head on a swivel"

your 14 year old is blowing a grown man.
1. He was a senior in high school...hardly a "grown man".
2. Hopefully I would've raised my daughter well enough not to offer dudes blowjobs at 14 years old...cuz she'll rarely get turned down.

I went to high school in the 80's , but I can't remember it ever being a big deal if a girl was a grade or two below you. Maybe your younger and times have changed?
Would you have a problem if Hill was 18 and the girl was 17?
Or if Hill was 19 and the girl was 17?

If you're in leadership, you only lose respect when you see someone who knows nothing about leadership trying to do it... Or else you're not in leadership and this is the type of question that is asked... By the way, We just signed ex Miss USA Gretchen Jensen as our spokesmodel at Tops In America!! (Hey, I couldn't resist) Go Dale Brown.

If my 14 y/o daughter was giving FB players BJ's yes, I'd be upset but I'd be a lot more upset at her than whoever she blew. Yes, she's a child but if that's her idea of fun or thinks its ok, then she's clearly got some issues that if not addressed will plague her for the rest of her life. So my focus would be on addressing her issues, not trying to make sure the guy does jail time.

I think you misunderstand my point.
In your mind underage carnal knowledge and a bar fight = jail time. The young man has a support system around him to help him through his issues. The legal system made the right decision.
Heaven help your future kids if they ever need some understanding and rationalism from their parents.
I hope this is sincere on your part and not some veiled racial bias.
Edit for typo

Mett paid his consequences. I'm not saying hang the guy, but he at least should be penalized. Probation means nothing i guess. Everyone of know what happened. It's politics and money in dealings with who j Hill is and who he represents. That's all.

He has handled the situation fine, as far as I'm concerned. Yesterday, he reinstated Hill and said there would be further internal discipline. To me, that says he will determine Hill's further punishment and, as with everything else, he doesn't have to explain himself to us. I respect him and his judgement.

For all you J Hill lovers, I hope the same crap happens to your son or daughter by an athlete and he pays no pently. Is he an awesome RB? Heck yeah. Is he a big part of LSU football? Sure. But character will always outweigh talent. Second chance you say? Sure thats how he ended up at LSU a year later. He blew his second chance. How can you pull for someone like that? Choosing to hurt yourself is one thing (smoking, drugs, etc--Tyrann) but hurting others is a big issue. Let see if you scream "no penalty" when your son is hospitalized by a sucker punch or your 14 year old is blowing a grown man.

he didn't hide behind "kids". he left Jeremy Hill accountable to the whole team. his brothers voted him back. this only affirms the notion that he is a players coach...we didn't hire him because he's a staunch disciplinarian! he isn't Saban. Saban would've reinstated Hill anyway. as it is he will miss some games. he was not put as the No.1 tailback and he'll have to fight for his reps like he did last year before he broke through. he isn't/hasn't gotten off scott-free. I don't like the decision, but I respect Coach's choice.

This is not about a single punch
It's totally about a single punch. The only reason Hill was suspended was because of a single punch.
Forget the B/J because it has nothing to do with anything between LSU and Hill as long as his probation wasn't revoked.
The punch was the factor between Hill and LSU.
While it was stupid for Hill to hit the guy, its not the crime of the century as some would like to make it out to be.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Hill play against TCU or have him sit one game. Past that, I'm afraid those out for Hill's blood are going to be disappointed.

Don't know much about the legal system, do you?
The guy hasn't been anywhere near the team for at least 3 months, if not longer, his probation has now had more conditions placed on it (any violations could very well land him in jail and more than likely get booted off the team) and on top of that, it's not over.
Legally, more than likely it is, but he'll get more punishment from Miles and the coaching staff that will be done internally.
He screws up again, chances are he's gone and I think he knows that.

And Hill is halfway through paying his. Quit dumping on the guy.

A stud RB @ LSU has a curfew from 9pm - 6am except for football activities. He's had to shell out some money. He had to stand in front of the media and apologize for his mistakes. All shite that wouldn't happen if he was just some ordinary college kid. Hill's stardom actually hurt him more in this case.
Exactly.

Only idiots think this.
Or are you seriously under the impression Miles had no part in this decision and was going to allow the team to either reinstate or dismiss as they saw fit?
Miles had decided he would be coming back LONG before Monday assuming it all went down legally as it did, and he simply allowed the team to have a say. I realize this comes as a shock to some of you who wanted the kid gone as soon as you heard about the fight, but it was obvious to everyone else.
Of the myriad of dumb shite to complain about in regards to this situation, this accusation has got to be at the top.
