Like anything else in this country you let the courts do their job, he was only charged with a misdemeanor so no I have not lost any respect. I enjoy the people who are outraged about this on twitter, etc. If he was charged with a felony charge yup kick him off or whatever but it's freaking misdemeanor.

No.
These are modern gladiators and not exactly of the same mentality of the general population.
Are you expecting Miles to field a bunch of PC choirboys?
This is like a kennel full of pitt bulls and occasionally an overconfident Chihuahua gets eaten.
What's with you "Justice must be served!!!!!" town criers anyway?
This is between Miles, Team LSU, and Hill. There are wales, innocent game animals and global warming that need your voice, so hurry to their defense

You call 3 months during the summer being "suspended"
Yes. Words mean things. He was suspended.

I'm not saying kick him off the team or suspend a season but for something like that he should at least get a few games
Something like what? A guy who had been in no trouble at all while an LSU Tiger threw one punch at a guy in a parking lot that amounted to the guy getting up.
My problem with all this is that far more people seem to be emotionally manipulated by the press into thinking this is some moral outrage and SOMETHING has to be done, rather than simply looking at the actual incident and judging it on it's on merit.

LIKE WHAT? Some of you are just flat out idiots. Sit in your ivory towers and pretend that Hill was out mugging old ladies because condemning him for throwing a punch at someone at a bar at 2:00 am is pathetic. It's sad that ANYONE would not get this. I'm confused as to how ONE SINGLE frickING PERSON would believe that Hill should have the book thrown at him for any of this shite. I would love to meet you stone throwers in person , because I'm sure that it would clear alot up for me. I can only imagine the lives that you must lead.
MERRICA!

This sends a bad message to recruit's parents.
That Les will stick by your side even through the hard times without jumping to conclusions and making rash decisions? Yeah, if my kid was being recruited by LSU I would hate that about Les.

The Hill story has become too big to not do SOMETHING
the only place this story has become 'too big' is right here in this cess pool of cry baby pansies who desperately seek any chance to bash players and especially coach miles... Take that FWIW

In what way?
LSU has less off the field issues than most of the rest of the SEC.
Miles has kicked off stars when he's deemed it necessary and the issue warranted that. The fact that he did not do that in this case tells me that he looks at each individual case and makes a decision...no one size fits all solutions.
If anything, I'd say this earns him respect from parents of recruits because it would tell me HE's running the program and not allowing members of the press or ex-AD's to tell him what he ought to do. I certainly would not want my son's future to be in the hands of assholes writing articles for the sole purpose of gaining hit counts...

he was not allowed to participate in any team activities or to have contact with players. so yes...he was suspended

Y'all stop being pussies. Let miles figure this out before you chastise him. He didn't deserve to be kicked off the team for a first offense bar fight.

Exactly.
And another thing, this shows what is wrong with our current laws. Dude can get his tank sucked at age 17 then wake up hours later and try it again on his 18th birthday and get charged with a felony and get deemed a monster and predator. It's ridiculous.

I don't think he's "lost control of the team" or any crap like that. But for a guy who is always painted as a family man with great moral character, I think he comes off as more worried about winning with his lack of action yesterday. Thoughts?
Go sit on your moral high ground....continue to second guess with only a limited amount of the facts, BUT please just be quiet and refrane from posting.

If there is anyone to blame it's Moffitt. Hill couldn't even knockout a drunk with a cheapshot.
