I will say the same for myself though. It was a great experience for my first away game. The one Tennessee fan sitting next to us was awesome. We messed with each other the whole time in good spirits.

Around half time I went to the bathroom and on my way back I was stopped by a guard and he told me to come with him. I had booze in my drink but I mixed it in a stall and no one saw me. I asked repeatedly why I had to go and all I got was "would you rather go to jail?"

Should have said yes, If he got the cops involved he would have had to given you a reason.

I had no issues whatsoever. Had a great time with my son at the game.

Agreed --- I had a great experience. I saw cops take a bottle off a UT guy in the 3rd quarter -- but he gave it up and I don't know if he was escorted out or not.

Agreed with poster saying "fists of tickets for sale".... I rode a bus in ... gott off and paid $40 for upper corner seats... $60 face.

Had I waited until right before kickoff --- I would have been doing someone a favor to pay $20 for two tickets.

The UT fans around me were cool... and I had several Tigers around me too.

I saw one LSU fan get escorted out of stadium in the northwest corner but he was pretty intoxicated. I also saw the 2 men get stopped by police(they were Tenn fans). The police were giving them a hard time because they were going to take a leak in public. Didn't see anything else, had a great time at game and all Tenn fans that we ran across were polite and helpful.

I was there and smelled a heavy Jack stench and tobacco smoke the entire game. It was pretty bad. Hopefully those guys are the ones that got kicked out. And if so, they deserved it. What's the big deal?

sounds like security was trying to help out a few friends

It was really strange. These guys got kicked out and they weren't even down the stairs and these UT fans sit down. And I wasn't in a great seat, 3 rows from the top in the corner.

Why go all the way to to TN and risk getting booted from the game for a lousy drink?

I didn't know anyone that got kicked out, but towards the end of the game, my dad was trying to leave the stands at the bottom of the stairs on the side of where the band was. He wanted to get out to see us march out, and a security guy told him a little while earlier he could leave that way the end of the game.
Naturally, when the time comes he tries to leave and a different security guy tells him he can't go out that way. My dad goes back up and a UT fan walks down and goes out the gate with his little folded seat, and the security guy doesn't bat an eyelash.

I was on the end of the first row right next to the gate. I saw that happen and 'd so hard.

I went to Gville in 08 and sat in the student section. As I'm sure yall would like to forget, we were getting thrashed and a few florida fans in the section over from us would not stfu all game (f bombs on the regular). A few tiger fans had enough and stood up and basically told them "we get it, yall are waxing us, chill" (no profanity involved). We were immediately swarmed with security and cops and the tiger fans that stood up got removed.

DieselTiger1- Did any of the Tenn fans treat you badly, be rude to you or even taunt you? I tried for the 3 days that I was there to get a Tenn fan riled. All I would get in response was hope LSU doesn't beat us too bad. These were the politest fans I have come across on the road. Your beef seems to be with security guards. For what it's worth our security people can be pretty sh*tty too.

This was true though. On game day we got lunch in that little food court on the first floor of the arena, and the UT fans in there were very sweet to us even though they easily outnumbered us and we were all in full Tiger Band uniform.

Sounds like you got screwed.

Hopefully you have a better experience next time.
