Ok I kinda sorta maybe hate to do this, but I'd like to see Ware/Ford/Hilliard get most of the touches in that order.

Why Ware? Because pre-suspension Ware was an absolute beast. If a focused and healthy Ware shows up again, he deserves to start.

I can definitely see Blue as a 3rd down back. Again, this is NOT knock on Blue; I am merely praising our depth.

Yep it is a broken record that just doesn't get old. NOBODY with a brain will argue that LSU doesn't have some serious NFL talent at RB. But there is a ton of guys promoting Ford or Ware or Hilliard or Blue and now Hill looks to be possibly the best of the bunch.

Point is each back has a legit argument for being the best which mean they are ALL legit!!!! We are so legit at RB I feel sorry for Magee and whoever is determined to be the fifth back. Because any of time in history they would have been getting serious playing time at LSU.

My excitement is a little more tempered than most around here. I like him a lot, what he's done in the back half of some blowouts is very nice. But where is all the 'total package" stuff coming from at this point, specifically the "great receiver out of the backfield" comments everyone seems to make? His career receiving stats: 4 receptions, -2 yds. Not saying he can't become great with more playing time..just wann see a little more during quality minutes before making declarations of greatness.

Letting stats get in the way of a good story.

He has done well after the big boys wear the D down. His speed allows him to take advantage of that little extra space in a tired D. Not a knock, love ya Blue.

It's JJ's fault.

Seriously though, there is an arguement each is the best. I like home run threats (Tony Dorsett, Gale Sayers, Barry Sanders, Marshall Faulk) over bangers (Earl Campbell, Jerome Bettis,Ironhead Heyworth, etc) so I lean toward Ford who has produced (5+ ypc) on a 100+ carries. He reminds me of Keiland's stay at LSU. Each, I feel if featured back, would produce stagerring numbers. But for some reason do not fit Les' idea of a featured back. They each were behind other backs who seemed to fit his blueprint (bangers). Would Dorsett, Sanders or Faulk be treated the same way under Les?

Of course as well as the other 5 RB's. I think Im most interested in Hillard and Hill. I know Blue will do well! Its scary to think of the potential of our running game this season!

I have never had the feeling he is the best back. Hell, they are all good, and he certainly has a role....but I'd prefer Hilliard/Hill...with Ford and Blue mixing it up some. The stock of Ware has dropped imo though. In any case, we have a good situation, and I hope Blue lives up to all the hype he has been given.

I seriously get excited about no one particular running back.

I seriously do get excited about our running game in general.

In fact, the thing I'm most excited about is the fact that I don't have to get excited about one particular running back. Just think if you were an Alabama supporter (I know, it's a nightmarish thought). How would you feel if there was a rumor that your premier back was hurt? I'm sure that freshmen they have is good too, but just saying, it's one of the things about a Miles team I love. Seems like no one's been "irreplaceable" for a while now.

I was always a big KW fan, and if he would have gotten the opportunity, I think he could have been exceptional at LSU. Les just likes the big burly back, sort of that big 10 mentality I guess. KW's still playing in the pros (last I heard)....Scott never made it. I do think Hill could be an exception...as he is big and strong, but also fast.....he could be the best we have.

I really like him this year too. However, I'm more excited about Triple-H. (Hard Hittin' Hilliard). Saw a locker room clip on youtube where the team called him this. I like it.

i wonder if our 'stable' of running backs and the rotation of 3-4 a game will deter fournette from coming to LSU

it wont, we arent taking a running back in 13 because of that reason...we will probably be left with hill and maybe one other by the time he gets here

I don't find myself getting excited about college aged males, but whatever butters your toast.

We are so stacked at RB.

Anyone of our top 4 backs could start on another SEC team. Gotta love it.

I like Blue in the role that he plays. Bring him in against tired defenses after pounding them with Hilliard and Ware, and having them chase Ford. Personally, I have a love hate opinion on the stable of running backs thing. I think it prevents us from ever having a guy we can truly rely on as all of our backs never can get in rythm. I'm glad McGee is running in the slot now as it leaves us with one less mouth to feed. Hilliard and Hill are going to pay huge dividends once they are the featured backs. Hopefully we can reel in Fournette along with a change of pace back to follow suit.
