Actually, this isn't unusual in high profile cases unless the court issues a gag order, and there's no case or judge at the moment to issue such an order. You probably notice it more because you're more interested in this case.

LSU is 3-0. We have a great team with a solid QB for the first time since 2007. I don't care about the lawyers, the case, or the defendants at this point. None of it has to do with the football team anymore. We have moved on. I suggest you do the same. If for whatever reason you still have an interest, may I suggest you try the OT and leave the rant for football related topics?
my thoughts exactly

we are 3-0, Lee has played just fine yet there are more JJ threads than Lee

bullshite, I've seen five threads on the "ESPN article on Lee". Which it's not like anyone in those threads has said anything new.

...neither of which will play a down for our football team

JL has done a great job so far. I feel sorry for JJ but no one ask him to join the fight. I hope him the best but we still have a long season & we have to play with what we got!

that was calculated into my post

unless Special Teams (kickoff) counts as a "down" I still think my post is accurate

of course not.. but for some of you, this situation is more importatn than whats happening with the guys actually contributing and the games we play each week. That is what is nausitating.

Then, convientley out of the other side of your mouth you sit here and say that its about the "team" not individual playes.
Only problem with that little gem of a concept is that for every one time Johns' name comes up Jefferson's name has been dropped 40 times.
SO its really not about the team.. the ones of you who want people to believe that its not really true, to you its really about JJeff.
YOu dont have to admit it.. we all know thats the case.
If they are innocent, I want them back on the team.
If not, they shouldnt be.
In the meantime, why not enjoy and focus on the relevant players and what we have in front of us?

YOud be amazed how quickly week 4 will turn into week 8.. season will be over before we know it.

Sorry but thats a product of the world we live in today. It's pretty clear that more people would be worried about the declared starting quarterback of a team, then to be worried about a 3rd string linebacker. Nevertheless, I care about what happens of the field every saturday this season. But, I do find it pathetic that anytime Lee does something right, many of you like to run to this site and say how much better off we are that Jefferson is going thru this legal battle.

I mean both sides lobbying the public for sympathy for their side by appearing on numerous radio shows spewing he said she said nonsense...You can't believe what either side is saying.

Shouldn't this be against some legal precedence or something?? There have been numerous cases over the years that have involved prominent people but I don't recall any of them using the media to gather support for their side.

Maybe you should be agitated with the fans of LSU. There is an inescapable appetite for all thins LSU football in this town/state. I can assure the media wouldn't be covering it if there was no interest.

Jacquez/WAFB had egg on his/their face, but that's what happens when you open mouth and insert foot.

He's young and hopefully has/is learning.

For some jerks/fair weather types...yes, that's their MO and not long ago they practiced it on JL.

No. I'll tell you what's nauseating.

Two LSU football players have been accused of a serious crime (felony), and there is a chance that it is a false accusation. But we have clowns on this board who seem to be actively hoping for one of them to be convicted so that the someone else can play QB.

Look, I like Lee at QB, and I think JJ deserved to be benched last year. But rooting for JJ's conviction is beyond the pale. I just do not understand it.

You keep trotting this out, but what you continue to fail to grasp (or refuse to) is that some of us can do two things at once. I can both care about the fact that LSU's starting QB from the 2009, 2010 and scheduled starter for 2011 is still currently under suspension AND pay attention and enjoy the season as it unfolds on the field. Should I list the thousand other things I can also pay attention to while also enjoying the season unfold?

It's a BIG story and will continue to be a big story until it is resolved. Now, while it may no longer concern you and others because this story has always been far more about a means to an end for you than about whether or not these guys actually did anything, the rest of us still care about that.

So...here's my suggestion. Rather than helping to perpetuate this distraction for the fans...do yourself and all those who can't do more than one thing at a time and stay out of these threads from now on and stick to talking about how we fans need to respect our opponent and we fans need to keep our focus high.

I havent seen anyone "rooting" for a JJ conviction.
Ive seen plenty people (myself included) that belive Lee should remain the starter regardless what happens to JJ.
Thats not the same thing, IMO some of you translate it to the same.

anytime someone posts anything similar to "we need to support Lee as our QB" or "if JJ's charges are dropped, he won't play this season" people like you take it as posters "rooting for JJ's conviction"
