It doesn't matter. It's not like he can block 11 players. We had trouble against Towson and Copeland played. Good teams should have a good backup anyways.

More single back & more 3 WR. Combine this loss with the protection issues the team is already having, the plan will be to get the ball out of his hands faster.

I would like to see Hilliard step in and get some time at fb. I feel better about him blocking than Hill. He also is a threat to house one to so the def will have to look out for that as well.

Copeland was the beast that every SEC LB hated. JJ from Ga. was quoted at the SEC media days that LSU flat wore them down by using Copeland as a sledgehammer all game long & by the late 3rd/early 4th quarter, both the DL & LB were exhausted. He is irreplacable in this regards.

The Towson coach said before the game that Copeland was our best "football player".

You can't just keep rolling this out. There are just so many players. We've already gone deep into our backups. There's a reason why they weren't starting. Copeland's absence just makes a bad situation much worse. 10-3 with a bowl win and I'll be good.

I hope it's not a spur of the moment thing.
This should be in place already after giving sacks up to scrubs.
I think Mett threw a y-stick and another TE pass or 2, so maybe it's being repped more heavily.

This injury could be a bad as losing Faulk. He was the tone setter for the offense. Between he and Ware, they were the only two that scare opposing defenses. He has also been pretty good on the goal line. We were finally using him as more that a sledgehammer. Defenses couldnt just assume he was in to block because we were handing him the rock and slipping him out for passes. This will not only hurt protection but it also takes away a dimension of offense that we finally established.
