Come on, hate crime is a little far fetched.

I'm not saying it should be, I'm just pointing out how it could be.

One more reason to hate the Red People. I hope DA throws the book at them. Give them something to think about besides poisoning trees. Stupid is what stupid does ... as the idol of the Red People has said.

So back to OP. Any answers?
My first thought on the video was something was really wrong with the guy, but it appears he must have just been dead drunk, or something would have been heard about it. Surely someone checked on him after all this if, indeed, the Krystal manager said he stepped in and disbursed the crowd. I would think he would have called paramedics. Even if he was just drunk, someone that drunk needs medical attention.

Read in another thread the NOLA DA's son goes/went to Bama.

Damn, these people have "friends" everywhere. I now doubt anything happens to the teabagger. Probably a letter of apology to him for being caught.

According to a caller on fbaum yesterday she said she had a balcony directly across from krystal and that the guy had a girl with him for a while and once he was passed out for a while she up and left him there.

She also mentioned that before he went inside krystal that he was yelling at bama fans and got into a shoving match with someone for maybe 5 secs or so. Se said that for the most part though everyone ignored him bc they knew he was just drunk.

So I should have videoed the woman that got in my face and threatened me and reported a hate crime assault

Exactly how did she threaten you?

While I am being facetious, what she did does satisfy the definition of assault.
To call actions of fans against fans, no matter how criminal, "hate crimes" belittles the meaning of hate crime.

Not sure how I would react. I'm way past 22 so I am sure my response would have been very different back then.

I'm also wondering why this guy was by himself. Not a hate crime, but really wrong. Dude should spend time in jail and should have had his arse kicked.

According to the lady who called in, one group of bama fans was was dispersed by an employee after people put boxes on his head. She said another group of bama fans came in afterwards and that was the group that tbagged the guy.
She said that after that group left the guy woke up and then eventually stumbled out f the place and went down the street.

Agreed.
Labeled as a sex offender no. Unfortunately, from what I understand in my advanced age, this is what happens to people who pass out with their shoes on. Not sure what having your shoes on means. In my day, we monitored drunks to make sure they were breathing and drew stuff all over them with lipstick or markers

Not yet. I honestly think he was drunk.

If a hate crime is attacking a person because of the color of their skin it's not that big of a leap to call attacking a person based on the color of their clothes a hate crime.

FWIW I think murder is murder. Assault is assualt. Color blind.

We do. big events are a pain, especially when your dealing with drunk/ignorant people all night.

Nola da also has a son that went to LSU and was an athlete there. Seriously doubt he gives the perp leniency because one of his sons went to bama.

what? why not? that was most definitely sexual assault. he should definitely have to register as a sex offender. then maybe he'd think twice before sexual assaulting someone else.

how can you defend that NOT being sexual assault?

Maybe, maybe not. But that is the ways the laws are written and frankly there is very little wiggle room.
