Well, Holly's lawyer must be in on it then,
I worked for a small construction company once where there was a fatal accident. Immediately Boss called his attorney. Attorney then called an associate, who contacted the family, in order to control the settlement.

Yeah , I didn’t think it would drag this long to be honest but it’s Louisiana

The one narrative of “small town cops and da trying to make a name for themselves” I can completely debunk. Holly was loved in Farmerville. It would do them no career favors at all to try and frame him
Yeah, that narrative never made any sense. He’s a hometown hero. If there was any “small town shenanigans,” it would have been to NOT charge him and sweep it under the rug. Clearly, the evidence against him prevented that, though it looks like he was either overcharged in the beginning or there was just not enough to peruse an attempted murder charge—or even and indictment—so that was dropped pretty quickly, thank goodness.
I have no idea what the evidence does show regarding forensics—but if his gun was proven to be discharged, even if he turns out to not be proven to have been the one who fired it—it seems there’s a lot of different witnesses with different stories or ones who have changed their stories. Maybe both. And because of the high profile of this case, the DA really needs to make sure he has all his ducks in a row before proceeding. Rushing to try to convict the local football hero of a crime he might not be guilty of is not a great way to get re-elected in Union Parish. And there was some sort of connection between a judge or attorney or somebody and the LSU football program, so he had to recuse himself and that delayed this case.
And I know Trey’s defense attorney mentioned football, but his main priority should be to keep Trey out of prison and to get his charges lowered as much as possible. No matter how long it takes. Playing for LSU in 2024 should be way down on the list of priorities if it’s even on the list at all.

With him not practicing at all he is looking at a redshirt situation this year where if he comes back mid-season he might see action in a few games (4 or less) to preserve a year. No point in throwing him out there without much practice for 7-8 games and burn the redshirt if he was able to come back say in October.
He’s listed as a RFR—looks like he only played in 3 games last year. Still, playing football in 2024 should not be a priority for him. If he can come back mid-season and give us anything, that’d just be lagniappe. He’ll still have 3 years of eligibility even if he misses the entire season, which he should be willing to do at this point if it helps him legally in ANY way. He’d probably be 5th string anyway, as I think Durham is the better back.
But again, football in ‘24 should not be a priority. This case is going to affect the rest of his life.

4th or 5th ? He probably would’ve been the 3rd if not 2nd best behind Kaleb .. Yall forget he is the all time leading rusher in Louisiana High School History.
What are you basing this off of? He had 11 total carries last year and only played in 3 games. Nick Brossette was once the all-time leader rusher in Louisiana High School history too. Emery was once a 5 star #1 running back in the country.

Did the kid have residue on his body for being the shooter? The answer is no.

Let the DA and the justice system do their job and let the coaches figure out the football part……..just take your seat in the courtroom or the stadium.

being the "all time" leading rusher in la high school fb means nothing, so were Nick Brossette and Germain Williams when they came to LSU

The DA is making sure Trey gets screwed this season because he knows he’ll never get a conviction.
This is stupid. WHY would a Louisiana DA commit career suicide by knowingly prosecute a case against an LSU football player in which he has no chance to win?

The DAs son is on the sports administration staff at LSU. I doubt he would do that, lol.
