Too late. There’s a bunch of god awful lsu fans and political posters on here that should’ve been banned long ago. Chicken is chicken to pull the trigger.

I was very high on the man early on and was excited to watch him play, then for whatever reason, QB play- having child-still hurt, I don’t know but he look disinterested. Even the coach said leading into the season, he needed to learn how to practice.
Now I’m all in if we get an engaged Boutte and a leader, not the Boutte we saw alot if time this year, If we get that player, I would hope he moves on. But I don’t owe his shite.

I'm glad children like you aren't in charge of the world.
Go salute your Nazi flag.
Talk about your straw man. Comparing an expectation of reasonable conduct on an internet board to being a Nazi.
Seems like something people in the media do to silence opposing opinions.

The dorks on here that make every post into tired political commentary have ruined this site. Go outside, get a hobby

in boutte's case he would have been a 1st round pick, now he "might" be a 3rd rounder at best. THATS the only reason he is coming back, so he can have a season to rack up great stats and get back to being a 1st rounder again
Great post!
It's not often we get a post from someone who has actually spoken with him. When did he tell you this?

They are fricking stupid if they shite on boutte

Does criticism of one’s effort constitute bad mouthing?
Cause in that case, fire away.
Boutte, at times, played with less effort than he’s capable of. He toyed with transferring to Bama, got paid, but didn’t produce. Some was the ineffectiveness of the QB, the rest was him dropping passes, not running full routes, missing blocks, etc.
If you don’t like my take, it’s because you’re mad I’m right.
Boutte deciding to come back doesn’t make him better overnight. I think it’s the best decision for him, to get back on track, and improve his future.

Half of this board, me included, took a shot at Boutte at one point or another between the rumors of him going to Bama and now. This will be a lonely place for a while if you suspend us all.
This is another great example of not being able to judge a kid by a single action. Many of us got the wrong impression of Perkins because of his comments about money during his recruitment, but he’s been a model player since getting to campus and is evidently a good student, as well. He pursued NIL publicly and he was completely within his rights to do so, but in hindsight, that didn’t define anything else about him. Human beings have a bad habit of filling an information vacuum by extrapolating using the little bit of info they have. If what they perceive is negative, that’s all they will run with.
People have used several small sample size incidents over the last year against Boutte, as well. But his comments down the stretch of the season and the comments from Kelly about him becoming a vocal leader and positive example changed how many of us looked at him. This latest decision of his just builds on that.
Beyond this being good for LSU football, it’s great to see one of our premier players make a smart LONG TERM decision for himself. The challenges with our passing offense for part of this season aside, anyone paying attention could see that Boutte didn’t have the same speed and explosiveness after coming back from his injury. If he feels he can make NIL money to stay and improve his draft stock by coming back for another season closer to or at 100%, then he will make a lot more money with that bigger first contract. Beyond unfinished business with this team, it may also be the best decision for his own career. I REALLY hope it works spectacularly for him because it would set a positive precedent for future players here to consider.

they do when they screwed their draft stock so badly they wont go higher then a 4th round pick
Are you new here? How many LSU players in the past left as juniors or even redshirt sophomores to be 4th round or later picks? It’s a long list. It’s good to see a kid make the smarter long term decision and hopefully set a better future example here.

I love Boutte but this fascist banning shite people keep calling for needs to go. It’s a message board, emphasis on people messaging.

He was mediocre this year.
Only reason he’s coming back is to try to better his draft status. His body language and effort at the beginning of the year did nothing for anyone. And he didn’t step up and look like the 1st rounder everyone here told me he was on the field.

What a lame post. He’s coming back because even he knows that he gave poor effort for a large portion of the season and his draft stock took a hit. People who criticized him were right to do so, we’ve seen him play at an all American level in the past. Sure lack of a connection with JD hurt him, but he was also running lazy routes, dropping passes, and straight up not even trying for balls thrown his way at some points this season.
