RR, for the most part, he will be covered by lesser skilled DBs than TT. Should allow for him to have a breakout year

i find it funny when people say this bc it always seems like the best wr on each team always puts up the best numbers. im pretty sure fitgerald has the best db on him every sunday, same thing with all the no.1 wrs.....just sayin

Boldin put up some great numbers when healthy though. A lot of NFL defenses play left and right cornerbacks anyway, they don't switch around

yea but even in college usually the best wr puts up the biggest stats. i personally think rueben and tts stats will be pretty close. mainly due to rueben being more of an all around threat than tt and having better hands.

all expected a poor season in 2008

This is poor hindsight. With or without RP we should have lost no more than two games in '08. We had 4 OL, 2 WR, Dickson, several experienced RB's, more DL talent than anyone else in the CFB, and some experience at LB and DB all returning.

Yes but we did not have the returning talent in the most important spot in 08. Without a QB your in bad shape as proven.

But Flynn wasn't a returning starter in '07 nor was Bama's QB this year.

Having an inexperienced QB is no reason in and of itself to "expect a poor season." We arguably had more personnel returning in '08 than did Bama in '09.

I'd rather replace the LT and the RT, RB, and #1 WR in one season than replace a single good QB. Especially if your backup is a freshman.

I agree.

This thread is about last week's scrimmage and the future so I decline to bring up '08 again here.
