Thats why i dont think ware ever enters the rotation. They need him in the bullpen badly

Cooper williams may be okay, but he is still got some room to grow. Primeaux is fine, but i dont think he is anything special. They need a really good lefty arm there

I like Cooper Williams alot. I don't particularly care for Primeaux. Jake Brown could have been better than him as a pitcher if he had focused on pitching here. But both Williams and Primeaux probably need to be at least okay to get a few matchup outs, no matter how deep this pen is. Ware can't pitch 3 days in a row. This is where Yeskie needs to shine. LHP development.

I think williams and ware are your two legit options, primeaux prob just a LOOGY when competition ramps up

This goes for tonight and tomorrow: I think Mayers starts one. I think we'll some a bit of fontenot, noot, woods, williams and primeaux. And then if healthy also guidry and dorsey(not sure if he's hurt, but there's been rumblings about it).

If we need more, I think cowan and ware

If we get up big, I wouldn't be surprised to see thompson and beck throw. I'd like to at least see beck pitch. It would be massive if we could get another lefty that could be serviceable

He can’t pitch a clean inning, hard to extend D man

Sure you can against N Dakota St or N Alabama or Xavier or UNO or Rummel or Eastbank Little League. You should outhit these teams anyway, like Nicholls did alot of the time when he pitched.

I think Williams is one that needs to get some more midweek action to get him back on the rails.

Nice to see some reasonable baseball conversation around here. It gets worse every year.

I don’t know who starts but I would like to see Woods get thrown back in and see if that other day was just a bad day or what. In the heat of the moment I didn’t want to see him again but now curiosity is getting the best of me.

Also want to see Fontenot.

ETA: would also like to see Noot get extended a little bit.

Ware and Schmidt as tests to see how long we can extend them. Maybe a test for Mayers too. Wouldn't hurt if all 3 can eat 12 innings of 18 to save our pen for this weekend.

I think the next step for him is one full inning right?

Or has he done that and now we need to see one up and down?

Dont quote me but I thought he closed out the 9th in one of the early season games but could be wrong.

I think Noot went 3+ in at least 1 scrimmage. I know that's not a great gauge but he was extended more than alot of guys. I think it just hasn't worked out to extend him yet. He's ready.

He wont start at LSU, there is no reason for him to practice it when it would benefit someone else who will start

Noot is a bullpen guy too through and through. No need to try and extend him.

There are like 5 other guys outside of the 3 starting on the weekends right now that they would prefer start games vs either of those two guys.
