One thing we know about Les and the QB is that there is all or none regarding playing time. That's because we need the starter all game to win. 3 yds and a cloud of dust makes for long drives if you successfully get 1st downs along the way. Time runs out with a TD lead and no room for mistakes.

Holy hell.

These bye week threads are worse than off season threads.

Unfortunately he's probably one of the worst too.

Totally disagree here. We all know Jennings isn't starting quarterback material in this league. However, I think his experience makes him a solid back up for LSU. Absolutely, not saying he can replace Harris or that the offense wouldn't miss a beat. That would be just retarded. Things would change with him in there but at least you wouldn't have to worry about him being all wide eyed and not knowing plays. I think its like when Florida lost Grier. They are a different team without him but not dead in the water b/c they had a guy with experience behind him who had competed for the starting job.

emergency QB. It is what it is. He knows how to run just fine, and if he finds himself in the game, he will be given just runs plays with a few long passes to 83.

neaux, Harris needed as much playing time as he could possibly get.

This. You get the backup some 'game experience' when the starter doesn't need that same experience any longer.

Jennings, still at this point, has more experience than Harris. I think we know exactly what we have with Jennings.

No concern at all. Very few backups play meaningful snaps unless an injury occurs

Hopefully Harris doesn't get hurt.

My concern would be if Jennings were getting game experience this season.

Better with no experience

Honestly this is pretty correct

He came in at the end of Arkansas and hit a curl out. Then tinge bomb to Dural. He looked like he was confident and honesty showed TONS of promise. After Mett we knew the QB spot had big shoes to fill and we thought AJ was more than capable after that one game. Definitely a more JJ (I know people hate that comparison but it's true) type QB. Mobile. Agile. Throws well but can scramble when needed. Mett was like Big Ben, pretty much stationary.

So we felt good. He felt good.

Then Iowa happened and we raised an eyebrow.

Then he went through the season disastrously. Had like 3 INT and 1 fumble against an OoC opponent. Can't remember who. People begged for BH. We threw him to the wolves against Auburn hoping he'd come through. He was just inexperienced. We were at fault as a fan base expecting so much from him in that situation. So Miles protected BH's confidence and benched him and stuck with AJ thick and thin prepping BH on the sidelines.

AJ got worse as the season went on. Showed little to no improvement as the season progressed. Sloppy passes. The team seemed poorly managed with him out there.

BH is our guy. It has been proven. AJ didn't improve over the course of an entire season. There is no evidence leading is to believe some playing time will help. He seems to do better when expectations are low. Last season was disappointing after the Arky win we thought the transition would be seamless. But it wasn't. AJ is a great guy. I wish him the best. But he couldn't get it done. We just had to make the most of it. BH sees the field all day everyday.

so instead of getting the qb who needs as many reps as possible, you want to shite on the season. If anthony jennings has to play, we can not win the sec much less the national championship. This is a pitiful that with the quality of our qb right now, you want the back up who was one of the absolute worst in the entire country last year some reps.

he's been on secret suspension. He will come in at half time against bama and start the rest of the year.

no, we'll have felipe franks next season, so barring injury jennings will never take another meaningful snap again

I successfully downvoted you twice. I kept clicking it and it pulled you from 67 down to 69.

That's what I've learned

Jennings received plenty of game experience last year and got progressively worse. With our current QB, we're seeing the opposite.

So no

I bet you wouldn't be singing that same tune if LF broke into an apartment to retrieve his stolen property.

He gotta go to if that's the case....its people like u who infect the athletic dept at lsu...honey badger had to go...shoulda went before he did..regardless of the reason, he is a criminal now....if it were up to me, jeremy hill would have been done too...I don't give a shiate...his efforts in the end didnt help lsu at all...much less set a good example for others....so what he is in the nfl....it's a job...money doesnt define a person or a program trying to be a clean one
