All that's talked about is that he's a throw first QB etc and you come on and pretty much say, wow guys I'm surprised this black kid can throw the ball!!

Everything I've read on Jennings indicates that he's a passer first and only runs when his pocket breaks down. His strong arm is his greatest attribute.

This quarterback battle should be fun.

I talked to my friend who is a coach on the team and he stated that Jennings has been in the weight room consistently since he stepped on campus and he has been working on position drills. Judging by everything I have heard and seen on the kid, he has the work ethic and leadership abilities. I am excited about seeing the competition between Jennings, Rivers, and Rettig for 2014.

I thought his arm strength was just above average, but his accuracy was really good and was more of a strength.

You watch an entire game streaming and that's at least 2 hours of film. If you haven't yet, you should check it out. You can tell he's a player even without the highlight editing.

Rettig has the bigger arm but his decision making is similar to Mett's when he believes he can fit the ball anywhere. I think Jennings is the better QB at managing risk. Rettig is a gunslinger.

Talk about a running QB, what about Johnny football? He's white ask Bama. Also can't wait to see this kid play. Heard a lot of good things about him.

FWIW Scout has the following listed:

Anthony Jenning's strengths: Arm Strength, Release & Size. Areas needing improvement: Accuracy, Ball Handling.

Hayden Rettig's strengths: Arm Strength, Size. Areas needing improvement: Running Ability, Mobility.

To be clear, he IS a dual-threat. He is not a run-only QB ala Pat White or somebody like that.

Guy has the size, speed, and vision of a Vince Young and probably a better arm, too. He has incredible upside.

Rettig, on the other hand, is more of a true pocket passer. He seems to read defenses well and is very accurate with his throws (more accurate than Jennings at this point, IMO).

Now who has the stronger arm? Difficult to tell. Neither of them overwhelm you with their arm strength, but both have good arm strength.
