Yeah because people just open their front door all the time for other people they are intimidated by?
The guy open the door for them. If he was so intimidated, why didn't he look through the peep hole, leave the door locked & call the police then? He opened the door because he knew the players said they would be back like they told him.
I can't believe people like you who lack common sense & comprehension skills are actually out on the highways operating motor vehicles.

He knew the players would be back later that day. Why even open the door if he was so scared?

because if he didn't, maybe he knew they would bust down the door, like they later did to his room mates door?

When it comes to the letter of the law, it means a ton. Maybe you need to step back for second.

he opened the door, and they forced their way in. but if he didn't open the door, what do you think the players would have done?
they already showed you what they are capable of by breaking down the other door once they got inside the common area part of the complex.

They didn't break into someone's apartment.
At this point, only you and CptBengal are posting that anyone broke into the apartment . . . and CptBengal doesn't even believe his own bullshite.
No one broke into the apartment. That's a fact.
In the video, Anderson's roommate says:
quote:According to Anderson's roommate: They knock at his door. He lets them in. They say they will wait in his living room for Anderson. He tells them he's going to his room. He goes to his room. They bash Anderson's bedroom door. They walk out with items.
Ok, initially, I was in my room, and when I was going to throw out the trash, some guys knocked on the door.
So as I walked towards the door, as I was about to open it, ummm and then as soon as I opened it, six guys just walked right in without paying me no mind.
And like, I asked them, I asked them what they were doing here, and they said that they were going to wait, and they said they was going to wait right here. Yeah. And then I told them I would be in my room then, and so I went in my room and stayed there because I was skeptical about what they were doing.
And then a few minutes after, they started bashing at his door, my roommates door, and uh, they broke the hinge completely off the side. And then they stole his shoes and his PS and just walked right out and paid me no mind.

I'll say it again, those guys were one comment away from a kidnapping charge on that roomate. All he has to do is say "they made me stay in my room"

he did break into the apartment. the apartment of the anderson kid. it's his room they broke into.
they forced themselves in the other entrance to the common area/space.
you said this:
quote:
No. There are NO reports of anyone breaking into the apartment.
i'm referring to his room as his apartment. not the complex. even though they didn't break into the apartment common area, they weren't exactly "let in" with permission as they forced their way in when the other room mate opened the door.

Plain & simple, the unauthorized entry charges will be hard argue for the prosecution because the witness allows them into the apartment willingly. In terms of the letter of the law, I'm not sure that charge covers breaking into a separate room once a defendant is willingly allowed inside the residence. The DA's office will most probably offer all 3 pleas for a lesser charge here if they are not dropped altogether.

So you think it's wise to just randomly open your front to just anyone? In this case, the guy in video knew the football players were coming back later. Why open the door at all? If he was so "terrified" why not keep the door locked & call the police.

Yeah, I just looked it up too.

you can't fix stupid. call the police and file a complaint to get your items back. do not knock the door in.

him not opening it would have made matters worse he probably thought. I suspect they would have busted that door down.

they broke the door of the guys apartment, entered, and took the playstation and shoes. then left.
Anderson's roommate let them into the apartment after they knocked on the door.
They allegedly broke the door on Anderson's bedroom.
One minor note: Anderson's bedroom door and doorframe looked perfectly fine in the video. I assume it was repaired prior to the video being made.

Yes, an invitation can be revoked at any time. Don't think they were invited in though.

watching that video, I think using the words "let them in" is disingenuous at best.
