I grew up in Tiger Stadium in the 70's and 80's (graduated LSU in '86) and we saw people drink and heard people cuss and we grew up fine. We knew if we cussed, (NEVER even considered drinking when we were under 18) even though our parents had tickets on the other side of the stadium we knew somehow our mom would find out through mom telepathy and we would get our arse whopped.

Parents are scared of their children today, but back in the day we were scared of our parents and I think turned out great.

Yeah, those German soccer fans that throw bananas on the field to taunt African players are really the ones we should be modeling ourselves after.

Rouge is right, there are too many people that go to the games that want to tell other people how to behave at the games. It's not just isolated to LSU though. The Cardinals have an issue with it as well.

Stop ruining whiskey by mixing it with Coke Zero.

Drink a good sipping whiskey like Jameson or Basil Hayden's straight out of the flask and you won't worry about the rest of that BS. Both of those are cheaper and significantly better than the Crown Royal that you're probably drinking now.

If you can't handle it straight, then water it down a bit.

I did too. And we didn't hear "suck that Tiger Dick". There was an occasional "motherfricker" by random drunk guy, but everybody looked at him as the town drunk.

look, I realize some fans can be too sensitive, but you also have to respect the people around you. They belong there just as much as you.

Remember that about 50 people are sitting within a 10 foot radius. Some of them (particularly women and children) probably don't want to hear really bad cursing or other stuff.

I'm not saying you're wrong, just to respect those around you if you tend to be more on the rowdy side. And I don't mind rowdy, as long as it's within reason.

You really don't know about the racist German fans and the hooligans in soccer?

People are ridiculous if they fuss about someone standing while cheering or getting into the game, as long as its a third down, or another permissible opportunity to stand.

I can't be quiet

Again, you have every right to participate in making Death Valley the loudest venue in the world!

I can't curse

Too many stupid rules by the fan police with their precious snowflake children

One day you will have precious "snowflake" children, and you might want to actually take them to a game where they can enjoy a loud and spirited fan event, withOUT you having to explain F, Sh, GD, and J.C. to them on the ride home.

I can't leave early

Nobody should leave early. It takes away from the mystique of a loud and intimidating Death Valley.

quote:

I can't whiskey up my coke zero

Heck, I don't care how much alcohol you or anyone else drinks, so long as it doesn't allow you to turn into a jerk. If it results in you cheering louder, then go for it!

I can't even say "kick their arse" at end of first down chant

Whats wrong with " L S U" ?
