I'd also love to see Bama destroy Utah in the Sugar Bowl. Oh wait...

The only thing I'd add is that there are plenty of LSU haters that would be hoping (and probably believing) that BSU would win.

I'm an OU hater, and I remember being ecstatic when Boise beat them. That's the last time I rooted for Boise.

I would guess outside of fans of SEC schools, no one would pull for LSU in that matchup. Hell, I was for Utah vs Bama in that matchup.

If we lose to Bama, playing Boise State in the Sugar Bowl would be a helluva consolation prize!

Good Point Roger. I do want LSU to play in the NC Game, and play a quality opponent. Seeing Boise get destroyed by Bama in the Sugar Bowl would be hilarious though.

You mean watch bama get destroyed

Yeah, not sure if he was serious. Would be a horrible matchup and draw no interest.

You're wrong about that. There's huge national interest anytime Boise State plays one of college football's bluebloods. Boise State-Alabama would draw even bigger ratings.

If LSU does end up in the Sugar Bowl, which team would you like to see them play?

Absolutely not. No more than UF/Cincy, or Bama/Utah.....hell, UGA/Hawaii. NO one would give a rats arse except Boise haters, LSU fans and Boise fans.

FYI, the 2010 Boise State-Virginia Tech game was the second highest rated regular season game of the year behind the Alabama-Auburn game, and also ESPN's highest rated game in 16 years.

Ironically, it drew it's highest ratings in Birminghan of all places.

I honestly hope one of us (Bama or LSU) does get to play BSU in a bowl. Somebody needs to send the folks in Idaho a big dose of reality.

I never pull for the Gumps. The only exception would be if they played the Spoiled Children and then I pull for the meteor to hit.

Fans of schools with multiple national championships and BCS appearances, like Florida, Alabama and LSU, demean themsleves when they worry about schools like Boise State, which has the 89th biggest budget in college football and has never even sniffed the Crystal Football. It's like someone who lives in Bocage resenting a guy who lives in Broadnoor. However, I can kind of understand schools like Mississippi State and South Carolina resenting Boise State since they have no BCS appearances and have been passed up by the Broncos in the national consciousness.

The only fanbases that really just hate Boise for some reason seem to be LSU and Ohio St.

Roger, we've discussed this before too. It is not just LSU fans or OSU fans for that matter that are "fixated" on Boise. It is the fans of teams that play legit schedules that resent the fact that Boise only has to play 1 or 2 tough games a year. As I've said before, we worry that Boise would get a spot in the big game over a 1 loss SEC team for instance. Let's hope it doesn't ever happen.

Totally agree with you. I know college football fans who are fans of teams all over the nation and most don't give a rats about Boise. It's demeaning to worry so damn much about them. Frankly, embarrassing.

You're paranoid if you think that will happem. The AP doesn't contribute to the rankings, but the coaches do. And since the computers will never show Boise State a lot of love, they will have to get their love from the Coaches and/or the Harris poll. If the coaches vote Boise State #1, don't you think it's likely that they will be deserving of a spot in the big game? Are do you think the coaches are also in on the conspiracy to put them in the game?

I disagree. Under the current system, it could happen. frick Boise and their blue field and frick the BCS.

Boise isn't getting in over anyone with a CCG even if that team has one loss. Isn't going to happen.

The only way it can happen is if they play a tough enough schedule. There's no getting around that. In order for it to happen this year, Georgia would have to run the table including win the SEC championship game and then they would still need help from some of the other teams that they played.
