Don't get it do you?
It's ok.

You just have to wonder about GG and why he continually refers to "the achingly beautiful Nick Saban" with that faraway look in his eyes...

You remember it wrong.

the article makes no real points, other than he doesn't think it's right that LSU promote its current coach, without also promoting an old coach...which is stoopid

There's nothing at all wrong with this article.
Glen is presenting facts and he spells them out in the article.

Never thought a sportswriter would drool over Saban more than Finebaum. Way to go,Glenn, your mancrush surpassed Finebaum's.
Sad thing for Guilbeau is Saban may not even know who he is.

I would spit beer on Guilbeau's neck, if I ever saw his stupid arse in person.

I can't stand Guilbeau or Satan, but the fact is he did re-build the bridge to New Orleans talent. This pipeline is still open to LSU, and a lot of that talent makes it to the NFL (as it did when Fla State and others were getting that talent).
I want to re-state that I can't stand Guilbeau or Satan!

Oh, but don't let FACTS get in the way.
I wonder if y'all agreed with his other article about "whiny fans
No one is saying it's not factual just no point in writing it other than to try and flame LSU fans. That's what the guy does over and over. I still say boycott his advertisers..

Heres some facts:
Nick Saban has never had back to back 10 wins seasons
In 6 years at Michigan State Saban had only 1 season with more than 7 wins
During Saban's tenure at MSU, Northwestern had back to back Big 10 titles and 9 wins seasons
Gerry DiNardo destroyed Nick Saban in a bowl.
No rational person would dispute what Saban did at LSU. Another fact is, he is no longer the coach. He was not pushed aside for Les Miles, he left on his own and not because he was dissed, he was the highest paid coach in CFB at the time. Will Les Miles continue to win? Time will tell. But the only real point of some one like GG or Finbaum pointing out the "facts" of what Saban did is to poke a stick in the eye of LSU fans. He's gone. What he did was great, time to quit obsessioning over it. I would not expect the University of Alabama to point out all the former Bama players in the NFL that were recruited by David Shula, nor should we expect LSU to point it out about their former coach.
