In shoulda, woulda, coulda world- had Sanchez been called out, Torina letting Schulte bat is questionable.
I don't have any problem with the coach arguing or getting tossed, but I still ragged the crap out of him to make sure LSU got the adrenaline advantage.

My opinion. You sound like a lot of fun

If you had a job and had a nice big TV like me maybe you could see it too.

I really think with Lotief being gone, the ballpark had a much friendlier feel today. I didn't sense as much animosity as normal. Maybe it was the heat lol...but Lotief was such an a-hole and a polarizing figure that he was easy to hate. Glasco seems to be running a good program. A lot of freshmen played for him today and I was impressed. They were gritty and hard nosed and I liked how they played. The fans from both teams both kinda played off of each other as far as enthusiasm. It was fun and clean. I hope maybe the teams can play in the regular season now that Lotief is gone.

Lafayette sports radio people are still melting from last nights game saying LSU cheated and they should play every year since it’s a rivalry now

As Will Wade so clearly stated, "ULL needs LSU, LSU doesn't need them." Beth Torina has LSU in the WCWS nearly every year competing for a national title. We play in the deepest conference in the country. If we never play the Cajuns it doesn't hurt LSU in the least bit. Meanwhile the Cajuns play in a conference so terrible that they haven't lost a conference series in like 3 years. They are begging LSU to play them to help their RPI yet every time the teams get together that Jackass Loteif would act a fool. Perhaps the new coach this year, who to the best of my knowledge doesn't blame LSU for all of the Cajuns problems, will be able to forge a good enough relationship with Coach Torina that LSU wouldn't mind playing them during the regular season. But that all depends on how the Cajuns act.

ULL coach did a good job this year holding things together. He was handed a $hit show. Cajun softball used to be a national top tier top program. They have slipped over the last 5 years or so -- this is a fact -- when was the last time they went to the WCWS?
ULL coach did the right thing yesterday when he was tossed. You have to stand up for your team. Bang, bang play.
ULL softball needs LSU b/c of RPI. They can go other places to get it done (travel much further) but Cajuns are plenty good enough to keep strong programs from wanting to play them (they an beat anyone on any given day) So, why play them? Most teams will stay away from those types of schools. Plus, ULL has no real cash to throw away on traveling to buy RPI points.
ULL is in a tough spot. If the new coach has any brains he will forge a relationship with LSU and play them a couple times a year in BR. This will absolutely help his program. LSU gets nothing out of playing them. LSU doesn't need the RPI points, the money etc.
Lotief is a grade a prick. ULL men's basketball coach has taken Lotief's spot

This is one angle. Check out the photo in the Advocate. Bang, bang play. Move on

Absent the point spread & Vegas' role, this is the perfect win for me when it comes to both the greenies & the bulldogs. A close, controversial call goes against either team late in the game & LSU wins again. And their fans bitch & cry all yr long again. When they play each other, a good ending would be the weenies winning with a bad call on the last play of the game. That way, the bulldogs are pissed & the little greenies can't brag. Both lose.

If you look at the umpires position on the play you have to know that there was no one with a camera anywhere in the park that would have seen the play as clearly as he did , SAFE !!

Insane that they don't have replay in college softball for post season play.

It was a bad call, the tag caught the runners knee then up to the chest.
Starting bs threads to poke at people for no reason, much less when you’re dead wrong, makes you look worse than you’re hoping to project on your target.
