What is your honest opinion of how this group does this year...assuming Harris is the starter.

McNeese W
State. L
Auburn L
Syracuse. W
EM. W
SC. W
UF. L
WK W
Bama. L
Ark. W
Ole Miss. L
ATM. W

4-5 losses seems about right.

3 losses.
Running game and O line will overcome average QB play and play calling

I agree with you. Big question marks on D Line, CB, QB, brand new D coordinator, etc. Anyone who wants to ignore these things is kidding themselves.

PS not to mention RS Freshman Center

I think this is pretty realistic.
I think we go 1-1 against Auburn and Bama. And lose 1 out of the Florida, ATM, Ark, Ole Miss games.

I expect D-Line to be improved, O-line to be stout and skill players are all there. Secondary will always be on point. Special teams remains a question mark, but Donte Jackson gives the return game a boost! I expect a pretty good year.

New coaches quite possibly shitter qb situation than us.

Three loses. I believe the Miss St & Auburn game on interchangeable. Going to Starkville with either Jennings or Harris will be a challenge. I believe Auburn will be a shootout. LSU can't win at playing Auburn's game. So they will probably have to out physical them. Question is, how improved will Auburn's defense be under Muschamp?

South Carolina worries me. But as of now, LSU has better talent than USCe and should win.

Alabama: They've beaten us four years straight. Enough said.

Arkansas,Ole Miss & TAMU will all be interesting. I don't believe this team will give up on the season with a two loss record. Ole Miss is in a rebuilding year on the offensive side of the ball. But the defense has the potential to be one of the best in the conference. I'll admit that I don't know too much about TAMU at the moment. Outside, of Speedy Noil's being a beast.

At this moment, I'll go with 9-3. Auburn,Alabama & Arkansas.

The game is at Tiger Stadium. We beat A&M 3 years in a row who plays a similar style of game. I just don't see us losing to Auburn at home. The games I think we lose are Miss State and Alabama, but I wouldn't be surprised if we won both. I just think we are going to get better as the season goes along, and I think Buga is going to run wild this year, but we will have enough of a passing game to keep defenses honest.

The fact that this game takes place during week 2. Does not bold well for LSU imo. It's unclear who will be playing QB, new defensive scheme and on the road. As of now, I expect Miss State to be a slight favorite.

I really don't see LSU losing to State. They still have Dak but they lost most everything around him.

Auburn

Entirely reasonable that LSU may lose here.

I really don't know why you'd think Florida would be that much improved. Plus they have a new coach and the game is in Death Valley

Bama

Again, not unreasonable to think LSU may lose here.

Ole Miss

I'm not buying Ole Miss till I see it. Remember, the wheels came off of that team down the stretch and now they're breaking in a new QB

Let's be objective for a moment... the problem with this is that we think we're the only ones improving. I assure you, all of our arch-rivals are sharpening their knives too.

Rivalry game on the road. Ole Miss has the third most returning starters in the conference [9 on OFF & 8 on DEF]. Maybe if this game was earlier in the season you could bank on OM having QB issues. But that type of offensive system can take the most average QB and turn them into a passing threat. Bo Wallace had terrible decision making. Who knows what the current OM QB's will produce.

Currently I don't have LSU losing this game. But it certainly won't be a cakewalk.

It's not that we think we are the only ones improving. It's that we think our improved guys are better than other people's improved guys.

In all honesty, I think LSU is capable of winning every game. I haven't thought that the last two years. There were games where I really felt we didn't have a shot.

This year however, I'm not saying LSU will go undefeated, but there is certainly enough talent to win every game.

I think this season will resemble the 2010 in some aspects.
