The Mississippi State football head coach has been out across the south on his Road Dawgs Tour flaunting a slimmer body. Now he can flaunt a four-year contract extension that keeps him in Starkville through the 2022 season.
Here are the base compensation figures for Moorhead's contract through the next four years:
2019: $3,050,000
2020: $3,150,000
2021: $3,250,000
2022: $3,350,000
quote:
Moorhead's new contract should not come as a surprise. He became just the second Bulldog head coach to win eight games in his first season in Mississippi State program history with last year's 8-5 record.
Biggest bust? Never let the facts cloud a MadHominem post.

It was brought up at the beginning of our conversation and you can't pretend that you don't know because here is where it started several pages ago.

I agree. I was livid at the hire. I ranted for about an hour then I got with the program. As far as I can see he's been able to put all of that behind him and the team looks good. The fall will be his best team yet.

to act like it was a legitimate concern during the hiring process is nonsense
Exactly. A HC is judged on his resume’. It’s literally all the coach is judged on
This was concerning O's resume from his experience at ole miss. I can go back and paste word for word if necessary. You knew that we were discussing ole miss. You are the one that brought up these so-called concerns from that time period but nice deflection attempt.

Hell, it was pretty damn good for MSU. MadDramaQueen tends to overexaggerate quite a bit. Counting 2018, they've had 13 8+ wins in a season over the past 40 years.

The one guy at that office that had to come up with all of these "anonymous" talking points has had one busy week.

They live to complain. When there’s less o complain about, they make shite up.
It’s impossible to actually discuss football here, because all they want to do is pretend LSU is in flames.

These stories are fantasy, year in and year out.

I know, Mullen averaged 7.6 wins over his nine-year State career.
He finished higher than 4th in the West once.

One poster stated that he can't get excited for 2019 season and it's up to the HC to get the fans excited.
That's the level of delusion here.

I know. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a CFB team that had an entire OL with 7 career starts, a QB that showed up in June, WRs had something like 25 total returning catches, and a career backup RB as it’s feature back.
QB comes in during June and can’t work with the coaches during summer, those workouts can only be led by S&C coaches per NCAA rules. The offensive staff has to build an offense when the first time they get to work with the QB is fall camp, weeks before the season. Somehow with all of these roadblocks they pull 10-3 out of their collective asses.
If you can’t get excited with all the returning production + real threats at the RB position + a more realistic timeframe to build an offense, then your fan card needs to be revoked.

I haven’t read this whole thread, but it’s 300+ posts long.
I assume Goldrush, Damone, and Rickdaddy showed up to remind everyone how terrible the football coaching staff at LSU is awful and to never expect another win in its history because Ole Miss and Troy?

I'm sure that I'm overlooking a few of them. Absolutely pathetic.

That ain't me, hoss. I got this team pegged for 11-12 regular season wins and a spot in the SECCG.

The dissonance it must take to trash the staff 24/7 then predict an 11-12 win season is astounding.

I'm trying to wrap my head around it myself. How does someone rationalize it? Oh these coaches are the worst ever but I expect the team to run the table.

yep no reason this team cannot achieve that this year. no excuses.

What's this supposed to mean?
Were there excuses before?
If so what were they?
And who provided them?

Yes, there’s no reason why we can’t win and get to Atlanta.
But there is one big reason why we might not and that’s because
Alabama is in our division.
Then there’s other reasons like injuries, bad calls, weather, snd suspensions that have a direct impact either way.
Educated fans know there are no guarantees..
