Let's see if Bama fans are like that 'post beat down' in a couple weeks.

Huh? SCar was never on the National Stage in the 80's, unless you consider that magical Gator Bowl run that ended with the Tommy Hodson/Wendell Davis show, or Slobbering Lew beating Ohio State a couple times in minor Bowls, but that was in the early 90's.

they werent prominenet due to their w/l record, but in 1980 they had rb George Rogers who would go on to win the heisman that year...they finished the year 8-4. couple that with the '87 season where they spent some time in the top 10 before losing to LSU in the gator bowl.

The Italian restaurant is Paoletti's. Very good Italian restaurant. You will need a reservation since all 'the leafers' will be there. Also, I love eating at the Wine Garden outside of Old Edward's Inn. And getting a massage at the spa at Old Edward's Inn.

I fail to understand this 'style'. I went to LSU for 8 years and I love the frick out of the football team, but still I question people who choose this path.

I just don't get the attraction or the style or the reason for the look. If it's an IDGAF what I look like but damn I love LSU, then rock on with your bad self. I know I just threw a turd in the punchbowl, but so-be-it.

There is a rally nice restaurant on the same side of the street as the all white historic hotel ( I forgot the name of it).

Wolfgang's is a legit 5-star. I lived in Highlands five years or so. Louisiana summers really make you miss those crisp nights; loved wearing a coat and scarf on July 4th.
