JJ for heisman?
I blame that poll from last year that got rant bombed with sarcasm.

This is not the case. I've heard the same stuff for the last couple of years. I'd take my chances starting 10 on O before letting him get behind center and make the decisions. We're good enough to win without him, we've proven that...

Are you also sticking by your statement that each player has a 50% chance?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Umm, yes.
Let me try to expain this to you on a very simple level. Even if everyone had the same odds of winning it (which they do not), those odds would be nowhere near 50%, but something like 1 in 12,000. For every player to have a 50/50 chance of winning it, they would have to award something like 6,000 Heisman trophies. In that case, I would say JJ's chances would be better than 50/50, but it wouldn't be a very pretigious award now would it?

I try to deflect the idea that LSU has a more delusional fanbase than Bama. Threads like this make me realize this is not the case.
We have people posting in this thread, meaning they are at least intelligent enough to use a computer, that believe that Jordan Jefferson may be a Heisman candidate this year!?!? Wow!
Fellas, he is not good. I am sure he is a great young man and I am sure he will enjoy a successful life after football, but he is not a good QB...at least not a national title QB.
Name one national title winning QB that was as bad as JJ was last year the year before winning the MNC. Answer...there isn't one.
This time last year I was a JJ defender...I have seen the light. Do you guys not remember that is was an amazing feat if JJ threw for over 100 yards in a game at one stretch last year? He is simply not even a mid-level SEC QB.

Andre Ware's opinion on football >>> yours.
You think that Andre Ware has watched every snap that LSU has played the last 3 years like some fans on here have? Theres a lot more people on here that know JJ's tendencies better than Andre Ware.
I hope JJ has a great year, but I got my doubts.

I promise you, that poll, JJ's great bowl, Les talking JJ up, and a few good clips are the only thing that Andre Ware based that decision on.

7WT, I understand where you're coming from. You're typically a great poster. But this time.. I gotta call the fail. Bhamtigah put it perfectly. I understand that you mean that at this point in time, everyone has the same chance of winning the heisman. But the odds of JJ winning the heisman.. eeehhh

I'll believe it when I see it. I'm not saying he won't or can't, I'm just basing it off past experience. We heard all the same warm and fuzzies last season. I need tangible, visible proof outside of the first and last game of the season. It's the 11-12 games in between that I'm worried about.

I want you to Give me Trent Richardson, LaMichael James, and Landry Jones chances of being at the Heisman ceremony. Just use a %
then give me Jordan Jeffersons.
Its preseason.
What was Cam Newton chances last year when everyone thought Ingram would repeat?
Its football and you don't know the future. Who knows who will have a breakout season. And for the record, every D1 player in america has the same chance. 50%. Either you win it, or you don't.
50% eh?
I like those odds
I'd like to place a large number of cash wagers with you RE: them tho
You can pick your top 20 contenders for Heisman... and we can bet $1,000 on each one of those winning the award
I hope you have at least $18,000 to lose
