why would you think the rotation that has been working the best for the team all year be changed when the most is on the line?? Yous people are special.

It’s not as ridiculous as you say. They flipped them for Regionals because CJJ thought Eyanson was better suited to come back on short rest and close out the four team double elimination bracket. And now they are starting a four team double elimination bracket. Also, the two pitchers are very even in effectiveness, with Eyanson holding the edge over the last eight weeks or so.

and they were both lights out against Little Rock, and both got touched up against West Virginia.

I know a lot of you like Eyanson better, but the experts think Anderson by far has the most upside, judging by his top 5 projection, and very possibly #1.

On top of that you would be taking off rest days from Eyanson. In addition, the one thing Eyanson did well most of the year (until WV) was not give up the home run ball. The park at Omaha favors the hitters.

We get it there are people who like Eyanson better. I say you can't go wrong with either, and Anderson has the best stuff, and is on course for full term rest for both with it being Anderson/Eyanson, in that order.

Eyanson got rocked against WV.

He has been good most of the year.

There is a reason that Anderson is slotted to go MUCH HIGHER than Eyanson.

There was also a reason why they switched the rotation in the Regional and it wasn't due to what you said. DBU hit lefties poorly.

Draft slot is without respect to how effective they are; it’s about potential. So Schmidt is a higher rated prospect than Evans, though Evans is clearly the better pitcher.

So CJJ lied when he said why he went with Eyanson?

This has nothing to do with who is the better option on Saturday. I know that Anderson is the better prospect and he'll pitch on Saturday. Eyanson and Anderson are both great, but Eyanson has had a slightly better year and a better game against Ark.

I would have liked to have seen Eyanson pitch this past Saturday to stay on the rotation from the regionals. Eyanson has already come in relief and looked great. We may need one of those guys bouncing back to pitch on short rest, like we almost needed Skenes in 23. Eyanson has done it, and I'd be happy to have him be that option this time, if we find ourselves in that situation. With that said, some of Eyanson's best games came on 5 days of rest. Anderson is the one who struggled on shorter rest. Again... Anderson is great. I'm happy to watch him pitch anytime, which I am sure will be at 6 pm Saturday.

It’s gonna be Anderson obviously. You wanna start strong and get the dub.

Then plan for Eyanson on Monday with a whole week of rest. If we are stuck in the losers bracket Sunday, I wonder if Evans gets the go over Eyanson. Save Eyanson for a potential game 3.

If Murray State wins today they will almost assured get the Friday 1pm. It's the least watched game and putting LSU on Friday prime time would be their move. We also saw Arizona play at 9am their local time so they won't care if UCLA has a 11am PT first pitch on Friday. I'm not sure what you're not understanding.

The NCAA doesn't a shite about rest. They care about ratings and money

I just wanted to bump this supremely idiotic post and remind everyone that you posted a dozen times in this thread with absolute nonsense. It's like you haven't paid attention to super regional start dates and their corresponding CWS start dates in over a decade yet you felt the need to keep doubling down on stupid. Congrats.

Anthony is one of the most consistent pitchers right now but as of today, Kade Anderson is second in the nation with 163 strikeouts compared to Eyanson’s 135. Charles Schwab field is a pitchers park. I think you give the ball to Kade. When he is on, he can bring more to the table with his 4 pitch selection. Anthony relies heavy on his curveball and did well the first go round against Arkansas but I'm nervous that Arkansas will be more prepared on that curveball.

You really are a moron. It's hard to describe. They finished on the 11th and played on the 17th. That's finishing on a Sunday and playing on Saturday. The CWS was never going to put Murray St or Duke on the opening day. I just can't even understand how you could twist your brain into thinking that but here we are.

I love Eyanson and his best ball is ahead of him in the pros but this isn't even a decision for Jay, you give the ball to Kade.
