Possibly due to an uptick in bans?
On the other hand, if it is as you imply - an Orgeron led campaign to improve image - that would help allay my main concern about Orgeron, that he can’t manage all of the processes necessary to run a great program.

I was against his hire for obvious reasons. But we are now pregnant. Let’s wait out the term, have the baby, then decide whether to keep it or throw it out with the bathwater.

In other words, stop with the negativity until, and unless, we crap the bed.

And yet, after nearly 20 years of football dominance, and this place being here most of that time...we've had an absolutely unreal amount of new members sign up in the past 6 months. And this is at a time when there are no huge reasons for fans to be flocking in here.

We have never, ever, EVER had this many new members so obviously sign up at the start of the season. and we've obviously never had such a high influx of new members who uniformly seem to have the same take.

But hey...maybe each and every brand spanking new member, who all happen to have the exact same loving viewpoint of Orgeron, is legit.

We're not talking about folks who read and never post. We're talking about brand new accounts set up that ARE posting...a lot.

I don't know how hard it is for you to understand. He chose whatever coaching path he chose to take. Some work as coordinators waiting for their next chance, some work as HCs at smaller schools.

Yeah...he chose the easiest path that would not require him to show he'd become a good head coach. which was my exact point. In addition, he didn't even bother (or could not get a job as) a coordinator. His path to the head coaching position at LSU is not just nontraditional, it's mind-boggling given where we were as a program.

It's not so much that there are rules, but there are paths which would be better at indicating how successful a coaching candidate may be. If there was not, AD's would simply throw darts at names and hire whoever, right?

The poster you linked earlier in this thread was actually critical of Orgeron, not a supporter.

Not to be a dick about this issue, because I'm even boring myself on this at this point, but a week or so ago I literally suggested that at some point there would need to be a counter side to this attempt to sway opinion. and, recently there have been a handful of even newer accounts that have come in and, just as blindly as most have supported him, these new ones have blasted him. The whole thing seems ridiculous to me.

But there's a reason it does, and it's because I really do value this place as a means to talk about the program I've been in love with since I first remember seeing Charles Alexander run as a little kid. I have no issues disagreeing with anyone, and I enjoy the debate of it all. And even though I will be blunt with people and fend my points, I really do try and be an honest participant here and not straw man someone else to win an argument and I don't post things here I know to be untrue. But all of that becomes pointless when it's obvious that there are many players on the board who are here for reasons other than that who are steering perception. And before this gets touted as some YogaGirl conspiracy bullshite, it's obvious we've never had this happen before if you've been around long enough to have seen seasons start.

Some work as DL coaches and hope they get an interim stint.
