He looked like a different QB out there. Being pain free makes all the difference.

It has been one game baws! Everyone needs to chill out.

The same people that are getting this hyped over one game are the same people that are going to call for Etling's head after 1 interception. There is going to be plenty of good and bad this year, lets just hope there is a lot more of the good.

For once we get to read a good article. The writer was spot on with this one without any over reaction in either direction. DE did a great job and didn't set the world on fire because he wasn't asked to. I'm confident that Canada will slowly open tune play book and that DE will execute those plays with efficiency.

The OP simply quoted the article. The quotation marks should have given that away.

Three good games in a row: Texas A&M, Louisville, and BYU.

I would have to agree. Although he still doesn't have what I would call a strong arm, he is much better. If you compare the deep ball he threw against BYU and any of his from last year, its obvious. The arc of the ball is much sharper this year and less of a 'floater'.

Article and everyone else simply stating that he played extremely solid as a QB. Something that we have needed to at least be in realistic contention for a playoff spot. Don't think anyone is ready to put him in heisman contention, just glad we have a new offense, a healthy QB who looks ready to get after it. People seem to forget that playing in Miles offense, with an injured back, Etling gave us some pretty good QB play last year against everyone except Bama and an asterisk by Auburn due to Miles and Cameron running the show.
