sammich, They can get almost any coach, Its just like any other job they have to open the checkbook. I would agree up to this point it would have been very costly with paying a new coach and buying out miles. However, after miles screws up another season (and he will) the fans will show up less and he will be fired.

dukke I dont know if I can take 2 more yrs of his shite. I pray to God its only 1. From what I saw in the spring game, I think there is hope he is gone after this yr. The players will start talking after les is gone. I think most will be suprised as to the thing they will say.

Carl Franks 7-45
Ted Roof 6-45
David Cutcliffe 9-15
Explain exactly what I'm missing here..

You are missing the fact that I never said they would hire the right coach. I said if the money is there they can hire almost any coach. You or I dont know who will be on the short list, but if you pay top dollar. (ie like Bama did to get Saban) You can get most high end coaches. They are just like CEO's of top companies. Find out what the top pay is in the country match it or exceed it and most will come. I also believe that it would pay off in the long run. Look at the money the bama program is making now and most thought it was crazy to pay 4 million a year for Saban. I would even throw in a couple Mill signing bonus. However, its all for nothing if the AD is not smart enough to know he cant pick the right guy, and hire someone who can.

This goes back to who the coach is that they hire. If it is a top flight coach the La. kids still come to LSU, and they are the ones we are talking about anyway.

No its not always the same. Read Donnie Jones book. You will see what I mean. It was night and day when the switch was made from Gerry to Nick.
