Amazing how our catchers look when our pitchers hit their spots and go some distance

Catching every pitcher is different, and catchers expect every pitch in a certain spot.

When pitchers badly miss, and when catchers have 6 pitchers a game, it’s going to make them look bad.

It does help, but our catchers have dropped way too many pitches that were in the strike zone or next to it. Maybe they just didn’t make as many mistakes. Hopefully a trend.

I mean good pitching definitely helps but they still aren’t great. Remember when one on them had a fastball down the middle of the plate pop out of their glove and roll back to the pitcher, allowing a run to score?

Well maybe Yeskie was told to ease up on sliders that most college pitchers are not in command of?

Our pitching has been bad but our catching does nothing to help them out.

They are lazy behind the plate, especially Cade, trying to glove everything.

Multiple times we have given up runs this year where runners moved into scoring position due to pass balls that otherwise would not have scored.

The LSU Catcher should play like Johnny Bench, not Johnny Rotten.
