I don't know if he's running poor routes or JLee was consistently underthrowing him. He and JLee don't have any chemistry, though and he sort of the opposite of Tyrann -- he just doesn't fly to the ball or make plays with it. Here's to hoping it changes.

He played fine. Nearly uncatchable balls. Not sure what more you guys wanted out of him on those plays

he never has been a good receiver. i'd rather see him running with the ball, or using him on bubble screens. it surprised me when he caught the downfield pass he did.

The Richard Murphy playbook.

he should have went to the ground on the two shoe lace passes to him...sure they were low but if he slides they are completions for 20-25 yards

If you have the first down, be happy and catch the ball.

Sliding catches instead of shoestring catches. He just wants to get the ball and run, rather than just catching it.

They were very poorly thrown passes. Those were on Lee (played great game) not RS.

just looked like some horrible passes to me. Dont think many recievers anywhere could have made plays on those passes. Lee was much more to blame than shep on those plays. Didnt exactly see RR or OBJ having to dig passes outta the dirt. Not saying Sheps a great reciever, but can't judge him based on the balls thrown to him tonight. JMO

I agree that were not great throws, but he should have made two sliding catches instead of half-way bending over. I just dont think he has the mind-set of a wide receiver. Use him in other areas, but keep the others out there for the medium and long routes.

no the passes were not great but a receiver still needs to make the catch...shep thinks he is a playmaker(he is) and needs to do something after the catch were as a pure possession receiver would have slid to the ground and made both catches...that simple.

Agree to disagree. None of our receivers would have caught those balls.

Long time reader ......1st time posting...RS seems to get knocked off of his routes easily and can't adjust....QB's are taught to throw to a spot and he just doesn't get there.

How does a thread titled, "Am I wrong for not liking RS in the game" continue forward, when a title about RS's fundamentals/mechanics get anchored?

This thread actually calls RS a BUST, yet it sits here on the first page, while a thread that actually discusses football is buried on the fourth page.

I don't think he had a well thrown ball to him all night, but he was open on several plays. Get the ball in his hands and you should have a different opinion.

sorry man, he could have caught some of those passes. i am bummed that he seems to not have made the transition to the college game. he's a great guy, however, and life is tough sometimes. he should be successful in whatever endeavor he chooses if he gets his degree (which i think he will). he really is a young hero of mine and i'll vote for him if he runs.

I think "not liking" him in the game is a bit much but I certainly, and I don't think I'm alone, thought he'd be more of a factor.

He had a couple bad passes but made a huge catch when it counted.

He'll be all right.
