I don't understand the people who are against Hatch playing. It's simply mixing things up a bit with a guy who is smart enough to NOT lose the game (although he may not win it, he won't lose it). It won't throw Lee's rhythm off or any other bogus argument; it is simply attacking a team from different angles in an attempt to win a big game. If anything, it will help Lee. What's the big deal?

ps. Anyone who says, "Well I would rather JJ than Hatch" can leave now and never come back again.

Where is the info coming about Hatch this week? JJ is too nervous- get a huge lead and put him in. Let Lee lead....

Or, just play Lee the whole game. Hatch is not Perrilloux. If he comes in the game, UF's not going to call a timeout, nor make huge adjustments.

I think its good to have Hatch ready. Sure Lee has "earned" his time to be QB, but you want to make sure that more than one QB is ready to go in case anything unfortunate were to happen.

Most teams don't have that mentality. I can't think of the back ups of Sam Bradford, Colt McCoy, Chase Daniel, Pat White, Dirty Sanchez, Graham Harrell coming in "just in case" they get hurt.

You play the qb that gives you the best chance to win. That's why Lee won the starting job. Now, if they want to put Hatch in b/c they think they can shake the D up...then do what works. But, I don't think they'll take out a great passer, just to keep the back up fresh.

At this point Lee will start because he's won the job. The lights went on for him in the 2nd half of the AU game. But I agree Htach needs some PT just so if Lee gets hurt he's not completely cold. He may not be enough to beat UF but it may make the difference whether or LSU beats a lesser opponent if he has to play.

Friendly reminder.....Lee probably would not have played another down in the Auburn game if Hatch hadn't gotten knocked out....clearly, he took advantage of the opportunity and made the best of it.

However, he looked good at times and sloppy other times....i.e. the mishap on the pass/fumble and the follow-up INT that put MS back in the game......so, before we start nominating Lee as "our #1 man", let's give Hatch a little credit for his steady play while at the helm against Auburn....

we damn well might need him again.....

and, for those that think we need to model ourselves after the OU's, UT's, and Mizzou's, I might remind you that when their QB's went out, they all looked like also-ran teams vs. "world-beaters".

Miles knows what he's doing, so let it play out.

For the second consecutive game, Jarrett Lee will open at quarterback. Unlike the Mississippi State game, Andrew Hatch will be available for backup work. Miles stressed that both quarterbacks will probably play against the Gators.

I have no problem with Florida having to prepare for two QBs/more plays/more film.
