Whatever your personal motivation to hate on him.

He was a baller and deserves better.

And

I'd say that NFL teams probably did ask those questions. Motivated by fear and other reasons because they couldn't put him in a box.

Because he spoke out about the Alton Sterling deal

99% of people on this board want athletes to “shut up and dribble”

Pretty much sums up the treatment of 3/4 of the former LSU players by LSU "fans"

Nobody is happy he’s falling. Just because I don’t believe in conspiracies and blame guice for his actions doesn’t mean I don’t feel bad for the kid.

If they did ask those questions,is it not more impressive that he'd the balls to say it and embarrass them.

I like Guice. He’s a good runner. Really good college back.

But everyone acting like it is some massive conspiracy that he hasn’t been taken yet is just being drama queens.

The guy had legitimately 10 good games in 3 years of college. The one year he was the feature back he got banged up and missed time early on. Durability is an issue.

Then you add on some potentially annoying personality traits and perception that he’s a diva and could be a headache to deal with and it isn’t difficult to see why some teams just don’t want to bother with it.

He isn’t some guaranteed generational back that will immediately elevate a team like LF or Barkley. He’s a solid player with the potential to be really good if he keeps his head on straight and stays motivated, but so are the backs going ahead of him.

He was a “Heisman candidate” based on a few great games against some of the worst defenses in the country in 2016 and on being the next LF who everyone knew was a future HOF type back.

The idiots in our fan base that tried to downplay how great LF was and claim Guice was better are probably the same idiots now talking about conspiracies btw.

He will get drafted, probably tonight, or very early tomorrow.

If he’s as good as everyone is making him out to be, he’ll get a huge deal in his second contract. If he isn’t, and can’t hold up to the physical punishment, or is too weak mentally and pouts his way out of the league, then these teams were probably right to pass on him.

Either way, a massive conspiracy isn’t the only reasonable explanation for why Derrius Guice hasn’t been a top 50-60 pick in the draft

Go prove everyone wrong Derrius, if you can

I am a Guice fan and wish him nothing but the best. I don't know what the problem is but there must be some sort of problem causing this free fall.

Why would he make it up?

Try... Make a tiny effort to engage your brain enough to consider why he'd make up that specific story.

It's ridiculous.

I’ve said all along the interviewer probably asked something along the lines of “Would you be able to control your emotions if an opponent was trash talking and asked if you liked men”.

This is very likely as it is known that Odell has been pestered by corners trying to get in his head by questioning his sexuality. Now comes Guice from the same school with the same flamboyant looks, personality, and at a similar position, and it is a valid concern for a team to see if he is going to have the same difficulties that Odell has had dealing with that type of mental warfare.

Guice is caught a little off guard by the question and takes it as the guy questioning his sexuality and talks about it as something that surprised him in the interview process.

After the NFL asks around, the person explains the context of the question, and the NFL sets Guice straight, so to speak, hence the walkback of the allegation.

Maybe he falls because teams now aren’t sold on his intelligence or his focus during the process. Maybe he comes off as immature and a little bit of a prima donna. Couple that with durability issues, a small body of work, and other good backs available, and a possible late first round talent falling to late second or third round is far from some shadowy conspiracy.

Show me an example of this “smug happiness.” Haven’t noticed that at all. I’d even go so far as to say you’re full of shite.
