Until proven otherwise Burrow is no better than Etling, and if you disagree, please explain why. This is a big prove it game for me, for Burrow, granted, the offensive line needs to "nut up" and show up.

Because the offense for the last 5 quarters has been abysmal. Again, please explain to me why you think Burrow is better than Etling, if, indeed you do.

I think he was responding to your original OP where you said Burrow > Etling

ill agree that Burrow today is equal to etling last season. But that was with etling already having experience at purdue as well as a year under his belt at LSU. Burrow has started two freaking collegiate games, and only had half an offseason here. He is only going to get better. everyone knew there would be growing pains just due to him being a first time starter and having limited reps with the team.

I thinks a great sign that he is already on par with etling with WAY less experience. I think come the end of the season this thought of burrow being no better than etling or jarrett lee will be put to bed.

Burrow has audibled into positive yards more in 2 games than Etling did his entire career. He hasn’t blown me away statsically, but he clearly has a better read on defenses. Give him time.

He is not on par with what Etling did last season. He isn't even on par with 2016 Etling. I agree he looks like he'll be better in the long run but lets not just spew outright lies.

Heh, seriously. People decide to showcase their semi-literacy to large numbers of readers. I'll never understand.

Check your sentence structure and punctuation, son.

Etling was marginally better statistically with a significantly better OL, Better WRs (at this point) and significantly better RBs.

Burrow has had no pass protection, the run game is anemic compared to the last 2 years, and he’s been working with the coaches for like a month and a half compared to Etling being a year and a half into the program before he took a snap.

He’s also made audiable that scored TDs. Shown an ability to throw over the middle. He throws the ball away when he needs to.

Burrow is a better player on. Worse offense.
