After we didn't convert on that 4th down was when the rest of the fans left. I stayed the whole game in the SS, but honestly did you think our defense was going to be able to make the stops to allow our offense to win the game even though we were only down by 14?

Well actually they stopped them 2 more times and it wasn't until Lee's pick six with 3 minutes left that sealed the win.

we have top 5 talent and haven't looked like a top 25 team all year. it's hard

You guys deserve credit for not giving up and playing to the end. Afterall, you put 38 on the Dawgs. It seemed like a couple of heavy weights trading haymakers. If it weren't for two pick 6 returns, you're tied and maybe looking at OT.

Yep. LSU fans have become too spoiled. What will happen if we ever go back to the days of old like in the 90's? People will wish they would have stuck around during the games.

However, I will say the 2:30 starts suck. But yesterday the stadium was eerily subdued.

However, I think the student section did their part. They were cheering the entire game. It's the rest of the stadium that's a problem.

I'm starting to think I shouldn't go to any more games when offered tickets unless I can sneak into the student section.

What a way to show our fanbase on national TV. The stadium was literally empty by the time the whistle blowed

Exactly. That's what I love. The casual LSU observer that criticizes LSU fans that attended and/or graduated from LSU and are more than happy to budget and put forth a little more money as ticket prices rise. The criticism is coming from people who are too cheap to save 50 or so dollars a paycheck to more than pay for the increase in what they were paying. So, they want to sit back on their arse in their lazy boy and say "boy the LSU fans are horrible".

They were running clock.. We stopped them running the ball three plays in a row. Great job defense. Way to stop a run play when you know that it's coming.

Doesn't matter. You said the D wouldn't stop them and they did and gave the offense 2 more chances. If we get that thing withing a score who knows. I was just stating that they did what you said they couldn't.

They hadn't done it for three and a half quarters.. When Georgia wanted to score, or get a first down for that matter, they did it. If we had put pressure on Uga they would have turned it back on and put the lights out. They were trying to win the game and not look like they were trying to run the score up on us that late in the 4th.

You're like having an argument with a 16yr old. The defense stopped UGA three times to start the second half down 24-17 and the offense couldn't do shite. It wasn't all the defense yesterday homie.

Actually, you are seeing what I said would happen when the TAF fee hit and the ticket prices started to rise. The die hard fans of old, Joe the Plumber, can't afford to go, but corporations and fair weathered fans with alot of money to spend on tickets are filling the seats. This is what happens when money becomes more important than tradition and fan base. It's gonna get worse becuase the prices are on their way up again next year and the economy is gonna squash alot more old timers. Not saying that a few like me haven't, and won't stick around, but there are a hell of alot less of us. They say we need to have the funds they are raising to compete. Well, this is what comes with it. Get ready for alot more empty games.

Right on the money, my friend. A buddy of mine, who just happened to become a "huge banner waving Tiger fan" in 2003, can't believe it when I tell him the 1979 USC game was the loudest Tiger Stadium's ever been when there were "only " 68,000 seats in TS at the time. I always tell him (and this pisses the newbies off royally) that it's quality over quantity.

So you thought our defense played well yesterday homie? Our defense gave up 28 in the second half, 21 if you don't count the pick six. They were sure locking em down.

No we didnt play well. But is the accepted moronic display of my displeasure with our defense consist of leaving the game in the 3rd quarter and boo a young freshman QB?

I neither booed Lee nor left before the Alma Mater was over. I don't think it's acceptable to boo him (even though I did feel like it after the second pick 6). The team needs our support, there is still football left to be played this season and we can still finish strong if we get it together.
