Alleva thinks it's okay to let Jones continue to lead the basketball program?
He fired Miles four games into the season...why not Jones?

There was pressure to fire Miles because influential people who care about football wanted him gone. The influential people who care about basketball (Collis Temple and Dale Brown) want Jones to be the coach.

Yeah man, you didn't hear? Alleva is elated with our product on the court this season. Extensions and raises are well on the way, much deserved.

Alleva hasn't fired JJ because he doesn't give a shite about basketball, which is just yet another reason we need a new AD.

Alleva doesn't give a shite about anything except pleasing the politicos who keep him on the payroll. They don't care about basketball, so neither does he.

-Football losses make national news while LSU basketball games will barely be covered in New Orleans
-The payout difference between the Independence bowl and the Citrus bowl vs. the payout difference between not making the tourney with Johnny or not making the tourney without Johnny.

He didn't hire Les, but he did hire Jones. He wants to give Jones the chance to turn it around. He didn't want to give Les that same chance. Which is another reason Alleva should be fired. One of many reasons.

Probably not but hard getting money from boosters to buyout after the LM buyout

The fact that Johnny Jones might even have a buyout is mind boggling.

If we are not going to be at the least competitive, close down men's basketball & put monies in gymnastics & golf!

On paper thats correct. But everyone knows Alleva was bullied into hiring Jones. Alleva was forced into a corner and didnt have a way out.

The stupidity of the responses in this thread is inspiring.

ChewyDante, excuse my curiosity, but why the ME - 109 on your site?

If that's really the case, we need an AD with a pair.

Alleva is the AD. If he cant handle the different pressures of the job to make good hires, he needs to be gone.

Not that I disagree with you, but all the conference bowl payouts get split up evenly.
